I guess you could say the same things about Hogan, but he held the title too many times, and has been around too long so the WWE can't use those excuses for Piper.

Hogan stayed with the WWF from the early 80s all the way up until 1994. That's fourteen years. Piper was accomplishing something when he stayed with the same promotion for fourteen months.
