The signings Souness has made are good? Put it into context, here. He has only managed to strengthen what was already the strongest part of his team - the midfield, yet has weakened his defence and strikeforce. Granted, signing Owen would be a step to improving the forward situation, but Owen would be mad to go there for anything other than a year long loan. Newcastle are a disaster area, and will be until the management throughout the club is shaken up, wholesale. That means Souness gone, and the club bought out and the chairman replaced by someone who isn't a fat, stupid shit.
