I prefer jbl as champion on smackdown, he's amusing on the mic at least, with triple h its the same old fucking shite we've heard time and time again, as far as in ring goes, i wouldn't say that triple h is miles ahead of jbl if it all ahead of him.

AND Red Hot Scott: They needed to give the belt to HHH tonight because they need a babyface to win the Title at Mania. That's been the formula countless times. They had to give it to HHH to at least let him have the belt for a couple of months before he jobs it again. Even though he should of never had it taken away from him in the first place.

Damn, I only got 2 of my predictions right. I was WAY off on the EC, but damn.
Anyway, Tonight my fears came true of what my concern was about have a PPV a couple of weeks before the Royal Rumble. Luckily, none of the Chamber match participants got injured, but they still have some injuries to deal with which might change the game plan a little bit. (I know Eugene or Lita aren't winning the Rumble, but you get the point) |

JR said HHH was a 10 time champ? Knowing JR he fucks things up, but which is it? 10 or 11?
My god, the Hassan/Lawler match was like in slow-motion or something. Dear god it was bad. I blame Lawler, but he's also done even better than that in the recent past. Don't know what was up. Davari was hilarious at ringside. Yelling, jumping around. "Shut up JR you slobbering fat piece of crap!" Lousy PPV, the EC match I thought was good up until it came down to the final three. I didn't want any of them to win it, although I wasn't surprised it would be them. Odd that both Eugene and Lita blew out their knees. Wonder if Eugene being out for a while will be the end of the gimmick and what's the deal with the tag titles? Sick Tombstone on Snitsky by Kane. Best part of that match. Oh, and Shelton/Maven was a surprise. Maven was good on the mic I thought, but WTF at it being so short TWICE? Maybe they didn't want to risk either of them getting injured after the previous two matches? Dunno. Blah PPV, I took a chance knowing it prolly wouldn't be that good but I really wanted to see the EC so I can't really complain. Still getting the Rumble. Now gonna go watch 24 I taped. ![]() |

Awful show. The elimination chamber was good but the rest of the card was just pure crap. I'm not even angry about HHH winning the title again. Loose Cannon pretty much explained why. Can't really blame HHH either, blame the WWE for not having any other established heels.

All they had to do to save something from the PPV:
when Batista had HHH on his shoulders and they show the replay of him getting pinned...just drop HHH after that and walk off But wait enough of me booking things which make sense |

Hogan was World Champ going into WM2, 3, and 6 (although, granted, he was defending against a face). Bret Hart went into WM9 with the belt. 12, too (again, though, against a face). Diesel at WM11. I can't remember if Rock or Austin was face at 17. Granted, Hogan and Hart were...special. But that's six out of twenty WrestleManias headlined by a face defending the World Title. Would it be so terrible to defy convention just once...well...a seventh time? A Batista or Orton or Edge or Jericho or Benoit title win would give fans who watched tonight's PPV a reason to watch RAW in the coming weeks to see just how the hell the mighty Triple H managed to get beat. Plus, it would add intrigue to the Royal Rumble. At this point, it's clearly going to be either Orton or Batista winning it. You put the belt on one of them tonight, stack the deck against Triple H (he wins the Rumble, natch), and you've got a fresh WrestleMania main event. As it is, I have no reason to watch any RAW programming (other than the Rumble) until WrestleMania, because I know what's going to happen. At least I can still watch TNA and SmackDown and have a modicum of curiosity. |

I was fairly disappointed with the card. They made Hassan look too weak! How the Hell are we supposed to take him seriously if he can't kick out of Lawler's DDT (No matter how powerful it looked, Hassan should have gotten his foot on the rope under his own power). And what is up with him using the Downward Spiral? I really don't see why they didn't have him use The Finishing Touch.
BTW, what is the point of having him use the Camel Clutch? That move is used by every Arab character and his dog. He really should have put Jerry in the surfboard to soften him up for The Finishing Touch. And Daivari looked weak in this match also. He could have at least looked like he was about to kick JR's ass, instead of running. I'm going to find it hard to take these guys seriously until Hassan gets to really go (he looked just about ready to snap and break out in this match, but he refrained and put on the crapfest they wanted), and both guys look like THREATS. The Elimination Chamber was predictable, and I think the only saving thing about it was the action it contained. I'm a bit upset we didn't see a German Suplex through the "plexiglass" or something like that. Let's take a look at these eliminations, as well: 1. Edge Good pick for the first elimination. He could go so easily without losing heat. He actually gains it, since HBK cost him the match. I'm glad Jericho got the pin, but it was the only Lionsault of the match. It's a shame, because there were so damn many in the first Elimination Chamber at Survivor Series 2002. Anyway, it looks like Edge will do well in the Rumble, until HBK eliminates him, leading to Edge snapping, and us having Edge vs. HBK at Mania. Edge should go over cleanly, and we'll FINALLY have another top heel that they can shift the World Heavyweight Championship to as early as possible. 2. Chris Benoit This wasn't the worst move, but it could have been better. I would have liked to have seen Benoit kick out of the Spinebuster, which leads to Batista snapping and throwing Benoit outside. Benoit makes a comeback, keeps ramming Batista into a chamber cell again and again until it smashes, then we see Batista explode back with a Clothesline. Batista Bomb on the outside, Benoit is eliminated, he looks strong, Batista looks strong, everyone goes home happy. I don't know what they have planned for Benoit & Jericho at Mania, but to be honest they may as well have Benoit & Regal, or Benoit & Jericho take over as World Tag Team Champions since Eugene is injured. Eric Bischoff should jump at the chance (from a storyline point of view) to get new World Tag Team Champions. 3. Chris Jericho Who couldn't they just have him outlive Batista in this match. I think Jericho has come in thrid place in each previous Chamber, so they should have at least given Jericho some consistancy. I loved Jericho in this match, and I could almost feel an upset. Jericho took the only Batista Bomb of the match, and it was good of him to take that honour. Jericho, like Benoit, has absolutely no direction for Mania, so they may as well put the World Tag Team Championship on him and Benoit (or Edge & HBK). 4. Batista It was good he went where he was, and the fans hated it, but it's better they keep Batista vs. Triple H until Mania. That is all I have to say. Except I hope Batista wins the Royal Rumble. 5. Randy Orton Thank God he didn't win the title. The only way I could stomache Orton as World Champion again, is if it is on SmackDown!, or if he went back to being an arrogant heel. The fans aren't buying into Orton as well as the WWE would hope, as he got quite a lot of boos, and he was right up there with Triple H in their poll "Who do you not want to see win the Chamber at NYR?". I would have taken Triple H over Orton anyday. How hard would it have been to put the title on Jericho, then have it switch hands at the Royal Rumble back to Triple H? The saving grace of the finish was the shoulders/thumbs part. It got me really excited, but it didn't make sense for them to betray Triple H there. Maybe Orton can win the title from Triple H at RR, join a new heel Evolution, then Batista wins the Rumble, and we have Orton vs. Batista at Mania? Nah Triple H vs. Batista works better. Randy Orton vs. The Rock might be on the card as well. And Muhammad Hassan vs. Chris Jericho. Last edited by Mr. Nerfect; 01-10-2005 at 01:22 AM. |

This was only the 4th WWE Pay Per View I have ever missed. I'm contemplating only ordering the big 4 from now on. It was pretty obvious that Triple H would win anyway...
The ONLY reason for the whole "Whose the world champ" storyline was because Orton could never get another shot at the title as long as Triple H was champion. Triple H technically lost the title, new title reign, now he can have a shot at WrestleMania. It was actually a pretty decent idea IMO. |

I know I dun hardly post here but I got 2 things to say quickly
1. Anyone else notice Randy's blading he did before HHH threw him into the EC. 2. Batista will turn tomorrow night, he's going to see the footage of HHH not helping him out of the pin by Randy and say what ya doin, and well...there we have Batista's turn... |

Let's just accept the fact that by the time HHH is done, he will have more title reigns than Ric Flair.
He has only seven more to go to beat it. |

I can see Eric Bischoff telling Regal he has a choice, defend the Tag Titles in handicapped matches, and keep Eugene as an official World Tag Team Champion, or have him pick a new tag team partner. Then we either see Chris Benoit or Val Venis as Regal's new partner. |

How does this sound? The WWE brings up Kousin Krazy from OVW (because he sort of looks like Eugene) as "Eustace" and has him fill in temporarily as William Regal's tag team partner. Just for kicks and giggles. Or you could have William Regal use a "hometown hero" as his tag team partner, and use that as a way to explore indy talent, while getting them some recognition since they're defending Eugene's side of the World Tag Team Championship. Maybe Regal can even let them get the pinfall after he cleans house. Or there's that young English guy in OVW that they could give a tryout. Not Paul Burchill (I think that's his name), but another young rookie. |
