Not gonna happen, Czechs will murder them. Your best bet is to beat Italy tonight and play Ghana who will have already been eliminated for a shot at 2nd spot (and a Round of 16 game against Brazil) and hope to shit that the Czechs can arse a goal past Italy's defence.

Does anyone know what tiebreaker they're using at this World Cup? Because looking at Group D, (Mexico, Portugal, Angola, Iran), it's very possible that 2 teams could finish on 4 points with the same goal difference, having drawn against each other.

Wait, scratch that, Portugal scored against Iran. But Mexico and Angola could still POSSIBLY do it.

I think Croatia have a better defence than us, and that if we only lose 1-0 Monday will be declared a national public holiday.

Ah well, it's really a no-loss situation for us. If we get any points off them, it'll be a great sporting achievement. There's no shame at all in a respectable loss, which is what I feel will happen. And even if we lose 6-0, we're playing the current world champs so it's expected. And best of all, we don't need any points from it to stay in the Cup.

The Croatia game is the big one, we'll be playing them for a spot in the Round of 16 to get raped by the Czechs.

Just turned it on, halftime now but Ghana is still winning..this is huge for the US, although it means Ghana is going to be even that much harder to beat next week. Anyway, the US had an awful first game in the tune-up matches and then came through in the second two, so I'm hoping that can happen today.
