You're probably not the only person who thought of it.

But portable games are already pretty expensive used, so I think online passes will crash and burn here.

Only confirmed so far for Europe but a limited edition Zelda 25th anniversary 3DS bundle will be arriving on November 25 and come with Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D as the free game.

Ok, I think I might get that 3DS rather than waiting God knows how much longer for the redesigned version. Now I just have to find a shop that's selling it. GAMEs site has nothing about it but, then again, they still haven't updated the release info for MGS HD collection.

It looks like the Zelda 25th anniversary 3DS bundle might be arriving in the US as well instead of just Japan and Europe based on a leaked Gamestop flyer for this year's Black Friday sales.

Someone managed to figure out how long the battery lasts for the Circle Pad attachment and it comes to be about 480 hours.

Also did the comparison with the average hours for the 3DS and it would take 96 recharges to match the hours of the Circle Pad.

Gamestop won exclusive rights to sell the Circle Pad for the 3DS (store and online) so it won't be available anywhere else for the near future.

The good news is they won't be able to add their $5 "Gamestop" tax like they do with a lot of accessories and games (ex. Wii Zapper was $25 at Gamestop while $20 everywhere else).

Nintendo also revealed the entire list for GBA games in the Ambassador program with Europe and Japan getting them on December 16 while US doesn't have a date yet but still expected before the end of the month.

Some 3DS news:

Fire Emblem on the 3DS will be the first Nintendo-made game to have DLC content. Although they've stated multiple times they won't suddenly be adding DLC for every single Nintendo-made game nor will content be taken out just to resell it like a lot of publishers do.

Kid Icarus Uprising will have both local and online multiplayer with 3v3 team matches and "battle royales" announced so far for modes.

Demos will be arriving soon on the eShop for 3DS games with 5 games announced as the 1st batch although only in Japan with no news on when the demo service will be added to other regions. The demos are limited in a sense that they only allow 30 play sessions or boot-ups before becoming inactive.

I think just Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7. Probably Street Fighter 4 if you like fighting games.

In the eShop: Pushmo, Might Switch Force, and maybe Freakyforms if you like creating weird things.

Current rumor is the 3DS Lite could be arriving around a Spring 2012 release date although it might just be in Japan. No 2nd stick would be built-in but the battery life would be improved by a lot and the system itself would be lighter.

The whole thing is just speculation and I assume the 2nd stick wouldn't be added because Capcom somehow has "exclusive rights" to the thing because they co-developed it and are selling it as a bundle with Resident Evil Revelations.

Nintendo held a special Direct conference viewable from the 3DS with a new Mario Tennis game called Mario Tennis Open arriving this May and the NES game of Kid Icraus getting the 3D Classic treatment.

As part of Nintendo's plan to lure in more digital and indie games for the eshop, the file size cap was expanded from the small 40 MB the Wii and DS used to now 2GB as the current standard.

To put it into perspective, the current card size for 3DS games is about 2GB with only Capcom's Resident Evil Revelations exceeding it.

So...dumb question, but can a 3DS communicate with a DS/DSlite/DSi? Like, say, for the purposes of Pokémon trading.

I know it's backwards compatible, but that doesn't necessarily mean all features are the same. In this case, communication protocols and the like.

The secret and cryptic Namco, Capcom, and Sega joint project is expected to be revealed next week.

Previous Japan-only Ace Attorney Investigations 2 could be getting a worldwide release after Capcom teases they are planning on translating the game but warns it still wouldn't arrive anytime soon. The reason I've held off on a 3DS is because I hated the design and I hated how it felt in my hands when I tried it.
