Best part of RAW tonight was them going all out with Fandango's entrance. Wrestlemania-quality entrance right there.

I think that is something they would have made overt, though.
Although tonight was evidence that they can change their minds at the drop of a hat. No idea why they did that whole deal with putting Ryback in the 6-man match and then just going "NAH" and putting him against Henry with the laziest of writing. |

I thought it was so that Orton and Sheamus would be stuck without a partner and Big Show could be like "Fuck you guys for not making me your first choice."
It doesn't seem like that was the case though. |

Just the way they did it.... lazily having Vicky randomly pull Ryback out of the match to face Henry rather than giving it an actual story reason for Ryback to really want to go after Henry instead.

Far be it for me of all people to try to defend WWE's booking being the laziest writing in the history of television. I tried though. I think the whole story falls just slightly below main event level right now though which makes the writers not give enough of a shit about it to put too much effort in.

They're seriously going all out with Fandango. I seriously hope this is WWE actually seeing what I've seen in the great JC since NXT and not him just being the newest random guy to get a short-term push and then forgotten about.

Now you know how I felt when HBK put his career on the line against Taker. Prepare for 3 weeks of trying to convince yourself the stipulation was just to add drama and there's actually a chance he could go over.

The Triple H/Lesnar match seems quite interesting now. I like how everyone was saying how supposedly obvious it was Triple H was going to "get his win back", and now everyone's saying he may actually lose. Could be WWE swerving us, knowing how the internet fans will think H is retiring or something.

Could be that, too. The match could go either way. Fuck anyone who goes with "UGH, THIS BUILD UP SUCKS BECAUSE IT'S SO OBVIOUS ____ IS GONNA WIN." There's no telling.
Anyway, as for the HOF, it seems like they're really stacking this HOF class. Like... for a reason. It seems like they know a lot of younger, more casual fans are gonna be like "Bruno Sammartino?!?! I thought the HOF was supposed to have a REAL headliner." so they're trying to stack the "undercard" with more recent legends. I seriously forgot Trish was being inducted a few weeks ago. And then I forgot again a few more times since then. She's entirely too big of a name to be such a lower level inductee. It's weird. |

If it's just Triple H's career on the line, I assume that Shawn Michaels will help Triple H win. #dxmerchandise It makes no sense that there seems to be no power grab from Heyman here, though. He should totally have laid a stipulation that he gets to take over when Triple H loses. Maybe Heyman will add more next week, because he's just an asshole like that.
Also, it seems that the WWE is actually going forward with a Jericho vs. Fandango feud? Fucking hell, I am actually somewhat excited about that. Johnny Curtis is a good worker and charismatic as all hell. I'm glad that there is a chance the WWE are going to give him a shot at being a heavy player and not just making him a comedy heel act. I kind of wish that he had attacked Jericho and taken him out of the Triple Threat Match though. Or that Jericho had won the IC Title and put it on the line against Curtis at WrestleMania. If Fandango beats Jericho at WrestleMania, it could legitimately be one of the biggest upsets ever. Instant star made. A five-minute match where Curtis merely surprises us and then loses would be more than enough to get him over though. It seems like they're going forward with Rhodes & Sandow vs. Kofi & Truth too. Is it possible that they could be added to the Tag Team Title Match? Seems weird that Langston has somehow earned a WrestleMania spot. He should probably go over both Bryan and Kane in singles matches heading into the PPV. |

Apparently there were "You can't wrestle" chants aimed at Fandango on RAW? Can you imagine the moment where Curtis reveals to the world that he can wrestle? Who would be better to help that moment than Chris Jericho?

How the fuck can you all complain about lazy booking when they have given rise to the idea that Triple H will never wrestle again? Come the fuck on. The Roddy Piper of this generation may leave us forever. WHY?

That show last night was all over the place, but entertaining in several areas. The opening was bizarre and out of nowhere, but I enjoyed the hell out of Titus. Some matches were crap but I just don't know. They made strides towards WM with a lot of guys, and also had 2 outstanding matches with Cody/ADR and the IC title match. The aftermath of the ADR match with Zeb and Swagger was good too. The crowd, once again, was mostly dead especially for the HHH/Brock segment. And I'm sick of the goddamn sign pointing. We fucking get it!

I was surprised the Pittsburgh crowd sucked so bad. I thought the show was pretty good, and a good crowd would have helped it immensely. Chanting "USA" at ADR and Swagger shows what kind of smart ass crowd this ass. Typical Pittsburgh trash. Surprised Ben Roethlisburger didn't do a cameo and attempt to force himself on a diva.

Being at last few live shows there it was really loud. Hell there was a "You killed Santa" chant started for god sakes and that was after they already taped a whole Smackdown show there. Didn't come off as a good crowd last night will admit but not sure if TV not doing it justice or just the show got off to such a crappy start with squash matches and crowd never got into it. From guys who went to show I talked to agreed but said was really loud for Jericho match so who knows. Guess I'll have to make an appearance and get the crowd going next time. lol Also was surprised wasn't a Bruno sighting last night being in area. |

Gonna pull a James Steele here and go on the record with saying that Triple H has the best entrance of all time.
The music, the lighting, the camera movements (that 360 at the bottom of the ramp), the water spit (timed to coincide as the music swells again after a "quiet" part), the poses.... it is all so highly polished and badass. |
