I remember watching Over the Edge in 1999, and when Jim Ross said Owen Hart had died...it was completely surreal. I had just seen him cut a promo, then they said there was an accident, and then he was dead? What the fuck?
Whenever I think about it to this day, I get all teary-eyed. He was just so damn good as both a wrestler and a person, and it was over in an instant. It's just a damn shame, and I wish I could say something good came from it. I'll never forget him though. He left behind a bunch of great matches and memories. I love that cage match between him and Bret so much. When he came back after Montreal, I had never cheered so much for one person. I will always appreciate Owen Hart. |

I was in Baltimore when we won the King of the Ring. And about a month later I saw a house show in Ocean City where he wrestled Bret. He had a ton of heat, and he looked right at the crowd and flipped us off. First wrestler I ever saw throw the single-finger salute; just built his heat even more.
I remember the night he died I was watching on PPV. The night was just...weird. You could tell after the accident, nobody cared about the show or the work. They just went through the motions and did what they had to do in order to get through the night. Owen was one of those workhorses who could elevate anyone he was in the ring with. Edge's first singles PPV match was with Owen. He just seemed like one of those guys who may not have ever been world champ, but a solid talent who would just be on the roster forever. He was a fantastic mechanical wrestler, but he was also a brilliant showman and entertainer. He's truly missed. |

Owen was my favorite wrestler back then, and I still consider him one of the best. He's the reason I got into and stayed into wrestling, back when he was high flying with Koko B. Ware. His matches with Bret were 5 star in my book.
I was watching Over the Edge that night and the one moment I had to step away, it happened. It hurt so much, truly devastating when I heard the news. The tribute show definitely showed how much he loved the business and all those around him and how thankful everyone was to have him in their lives. That says alot. R.I.P Rocket. |

I was watching when this all happened. I member thinking what a gimmick it was. The screen went black for some time and then they came back out. The whole show must go on thing made me think it wasn't real.
I also remember arguing over weather or not he was the blue blazer and this was a bad way to prove that i was correct. he is missed |

Well I respect your opinion even if it is wrong. Bret is the best there is and all that. Also, if Owen hadn't fallen at Over The Edge he most likely woulda been killed by a drunk driver leaving the arena bc of some final destination shit. It was his time. So yeah Bret is betta.

A stable that has been more successful than The Hart Foundation?
Has there ever been a stable more successful than The Hart Foundation.
I mean back in the 90s the HF held almost every title in the one TIME. Has any stable topped this?? |

Actually when the Main Event Mafia was just Sting, Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash, Booker T, and Scott Steiner it was one of the best factions. They were also pretty dominant. When it first started at the end of 2008-middle of 2009 it was a very good faction. Good feuds with different opponents whether it was Sting vs. AJ, Angle vs. Jarrett, Nash vs. Joe, Booker and Steiner vs. Beer Money. When Sting left the faction and they added Joe and Jenna Morasca and all that it went down the tubes. I did like the feud between Sting and Angle though leading to the dissolution of the faction.

The Four Horsemen and the nWo.
Even if the Foundation was the third-best stable of all-time (and I can think of a lot of other stables with strong claims to that title), they'd still be miles behind the top two. |

Depends how you look at it. While the stable wasn't around that long, The Hart Foundation as individuals over the years went quite well. I don't think you can compare Evolution with them as the booking at that time was much different to the mid-late 90's.

Horsemen by a long shot. They set the tone for stables for years to come. I wish Fortune would continue down that line. If they reunite. They could pull it off with AJ being a mainstay. Would love to see AJ with Samoan Joe, Austin Aries and Crimson or Morgan.
