I actually love the idea of the dastardly and heelish Miz escaping with his title, looking back on what Cena is doing to Rock, or vice versa, and he himself being shocked by the level of heeldom on display.
These are the posts I most agree with. While WrestleMania is the place for faces to beat heels, what does Cena beating The Miz really prove? Does anyone really see The Miz as being above John Cena at this point? The Miz retaining the WWE Title gives him a great heel moment, and doesn't really hurt Cena. As Triple H has said, Cena is almost at the point where he doesn't need a top title to be seen as a massive star. And I'd say he's already there.

The Rock and Cena could very easily have a moment of respect, but I think that's the coward's way out. As long as Cena and The Rock hate each other, people are going to be on edge for a Rock/Cena match -- regardless of its likelihood. With WrestleMania in Miami, and The Undertaker likely being 19-0, I can very easily see the main event of that show being The Undertaker vs. John Cena with The Rock as Special Guest Referee.

So yeah, Cena could win, and have that one imperfect blip on his WrestleMania record from WrestleMania XXIV, or he could streamroll over Miz, who will recover, and things are just the same. Personally, if I were booking, I'd go with The Rock hitting Cena with a Rock Bottom, The Miz capitalising to retain, and Cena wanting a match with The Rock -- which is eventually forgotten, until The Rock's schedule allows him to return and continue to antagonise Cena.

A finish could be a rock bottom on Cena followed by a rock bottom on The Miz who is right next to Cena, as Miz hits the mat his arm ends up on top of Cena 1,2,3

Ever since after the RR Miz seems to have all the momentum which makes me worry that he will end up losing but I wouldn't be suprised if Cena gets a fluke victory over him thanks to The Rock and they continue the feud from there.

First off - I doubt they'll have two guest referee matches in a row for the UT streak (unless they're doing a new thing - 2 HBK matches, 2 guest ref matches, etc.)

As far as this Rock Vs. Cena Vs. Miz thing goes. I would personally like to see Miz retain. There are a few factors to consider:
1: The Rock and his schedule. Let's just suppose that Rock is actually 'free' for now - let's say he's having a 1 year sabbatical from Hollywood. That'd be great. If he doesn't then him being involved in an actual feud (other than baiting for a Cena Vs. Rock match next year) is highly doubtful.
2: Mania as the place to 'settle' things. Of course things don't always get settled at Mania. There's even been PPVs allowing people to get even from Mania. However for this match is would seem that there needs to be a finish - the obvious one being Cena winning with Rock hugging him. It could however also be the reverse - Miz wins with an assist from Rock, building a Cena Vs. Rock feud (supposing Rock has time), and allowing Miz and the championship to be involved elsewhere.
3: Suppose we do have a crappy finish (non closure finish). Rock lays both men out and either one wins. That would allow the feud to continue. If Cena wins, Miz would call him out, Cena would admit that the win was messy and *BAM* PPV match! If Miz wins Cena would hound him for retaining via the cowards way out, eventually Miz accepting a match at the next PPV.
4: There is a problem. Let's say Miz wins, and the Rock doesn't have time for a full feud with Cena. With Miz as Champ and Cena not really having much reason to feud with him (barring the third option), what would Cena do? Feud with the Nexus? Somehow get a feud with Orton? Become a street performer?

Anyway - I hope Miz will win, I hope it'll be somewhat clean and I hope that the option that is available to us is #4 with a Rock able to actually feud - not necessarily fight with Cena (Rock could simply work by proxy - becoming a stable heel leader, maybe even in concert with Cole...

With two major championships in the company, The Miz is NOT a lock to lose the match like people seem to want to say.

Cena was a lock to win the title from in the Orton/HHH match two years ago and Orton retained. Why? Because there was another main event title on the line where the face could go over. That's what sucks about having two main event titles but also, kinda helps out in a way. As long as you've got one main event that can finish the show on a happy ending, nothing is for sure.

That's the problem, they probably won't want both heels walking out the champion. So either they don't give Del Rio the title (which may prove foolish), or Miz loses. It'd be hard to see WWE letting two heels walk out champion.

Also, there is absolutely no way that Cena vs. Miz isn't the main event to close the show, for the simple fact that The Rock will be somehow involved.

The only REAL option of closing the show with a feel-good moment would be Taker vs. Triple H closing. And i suppose that is a possibility, but I'm not too sure.

I really just kinda wanna see the Miz hit a finale on both of them and pin Cena or something. Then you have your hulk hogan in a purple t-shirt, Rock can go back to working on movies and miz actually gets something out of this.

I mean Miz is the only one here with anything to gain and it's really weird to say it, loving Rock and hating Cena but this angle isn't going to really do anything for anyone unless Miz wins.

Other than entertain the fans and make some serious money. I'd argue that Miz gets a rub from even being in a main event with Rock and Cena, or on a poster with them.
Though I absolutely would like to see him come out on top, as I do agree he needs it most.

But I don't think every decision the WWE makes always needs to be a chess move. They're doing just fine with Miz and if they decide to have him lose and just go with the happy ending, they will still be making out fine.
I still see that as a winning situation for all 3 involved, and the fans/WWE's bankroll.

Agreed.

But they do have the chance to make TWO huge stars with this situation.

A win for The Miz would cement him as a top line heel. Then, whoever eventualy beats him should be a huge deal. Say someone like Kofi eventually topples him.

I am not siding with anyone for this bout since I have respect for both the athletes. But it would be an amazing boost to the Miz's career if he goes on to defeat Cena at Mania.

And for some odd reason, I really hope that Edge versus Alberto Del Rio goes on to main event the night since both of them are solid performers in the ring and Alberto Del Rio won the 40 man Royal Rumble match.

I am pretty sure that the WWE Championship match will go last owing to Cena and The Rock. But there is no harm in having a little hope.

The Rock is supposed to be on the Raw after 'Mania. Which leads me to believe that he will make some sort of impact at 'Mania other then just being, the Special Guest Host.
