LOL, I guess we got our "riot" that would have happened if Cena had won the match with RVD at ONS that happened with TNA fans going after Jarrett.

Were there any "If Jarrett wins, we will riot" signs there

If I watched TNA anymore, Nash/Shelley would be the two reasons why. They are gold together.

They need more of those skits.

"if I didn't want to talk to you, you think I want to type to you?" LOL.

I hope Nash buries all the generic X-division guys.

I hope TNA chokes under the weight of their own craptacular booking, really. Nothing this bad deserves to stay on TV.

The only downside is that it would leave us with WWE, and that's almost as craptacular. And still doesn't deserve to stay on TV.

Event: NWA TNA's Slammiversary 2006
Date: June 18, 2006
Location: Orlando, Florida
Arena: Universal Studios
Attendance: 900

NWA World Heavyweight Title Match (King of the Mountain Match): Jeff Jarrett defeated Christian Cage, Abyss, Ron Killings, and Sting (23:00) in a "King of the Mountain" match to win the title. After the match, TNA Comisioner James E. Cornette takes the title from Jarrett when the match was ruled a No Contest.

AND....

Under Current NWA Champions they list the NWA World Heavyweight Title as Vacant so maybe Jarrett is NOT the champion.

I hope....

Yeah they are, they're the same people who mark out for A1, Monty Brown, Lance Hoyt, and all the other generic jobbers who only are "successful" there in TNA.

Congrats to Team 3D - who I still find entertaining for whatever reason, but I still feel TNA could handle a feud with The New Age Outlaws / James Gang a lot better than they do.

Also, good job TNA - way to botch Christian's title run

They're always going to botch any title reign that isn't Jarrett's.

Rhino had the belt for all of eleven days (in kayfabe world).
Raven had a decent run, but lost it at a house show and never got a rematch.
AJ had a one-month reign.
Killings had it for two weeks in '04 (before the FSN debut, iirc)
AJ had it less than a month before that.

And then we're going back to a time before I started watching TNA, so I can't really comment on Shamrock's reign, or AJ or Killings' first reigns.

Okay, I went through the NWA Title history since the start of TNA (according to tnawrestling.com), and it's mind-boggling how much of a stranglehold Jarrett has on that belt.

Yep.

Killings could've done a lot more with the belt as well, as could have Raven and I'm sure a few of the other guys. TNA continues to prove why they will keep themselves in the same hole that they dug for themselves.

I think Christian should have lost the belt as his run was getting stale, but another Jarrett run? Please, anything but that. I felt Abyss should have been given a chance at a run with the belt. He constantly puts on good matches, and deserves a chance. Maybe it might not be successful, but maybe it could. Who knows, it's worth a shot.

Yeah. Christian, AJ, and Killings to an extent each had at least one good run.

That was more to show that no matter how many times the belt changes hands or how many new people they put it on, it always winds up in the same place. Almost three out of every five days since the promotion opened three years ago, JJ's been the champion.

Yeah. I was mostly thinking Christian, being a new guy, really hasn't had the time to become a multi-time champion and whatnot. But the Jarrett fiasco is utterly horrible.

I mean, I'd be more likely to buy a PPV if D-Ray 5000 or whatever he's called held the title instead of Jarrett, and I HATE black people.

In that case, I'd probably not buy it anyway, but Jarrett in the ME scene is a VERY strong deterrent, whereas a joke champion is only a pretty strong deterrent.

The guy they really need to put the title back on is Styles. I'm not a big Styles fan, but they built him up as the heart and soul of TNA, what their style of wrestling is all about, and he's rarely in the upper tier. They need to get back some of the investment they've made in styles before people stop caring.

...If they haven't already.

Most importantly, Jarrett needs to stop being a bigger hog than Hunter.
