Personally, for me, Smackdown has been way ahead of Raw lately (altho I havent seen this week's SD).
For me, what I like about Smackdown. They have far more wrestling on it then Raw,and matches that generally you don't know the outcomes of. Usually they have 1-2 15 minute matches, 2 under 10 minute matches and a squash match or 2. For some reason I seem to care about the SD! workers more than the Raw workers. Basically, I like Carlito, however, if Carlito was given a decent spot, then he'd be my favourite wrestler. Whats the most we see of Carlito, a four-minute four way dance, or him flirting with Torrie Wilson? Conversly, I'm not a massive fan of Matt Hardy, but because I see more of himin more interesting situations, I find i can enjoy his work more and more. SD! has JBL. Cole and JBL are excellent together. I like JBL because, although he has heel characteristics, he can still manage to dislike some heels e.g Sylvan and like somefaces London/Kendrick, Chris Benoit. Furthermore, JBL seems to be able to rationalise heelish behaviour, something that King-JR and Styles-Tazz don't do (where they just say "such and such is an ass") instead of understanding why a heel acts a particular way e.g JBL said Tatanka snapped because of such and such. SD! is not dominated by a few top guys. Every Raw segment seems to have D-X in it. They get probably 5 times as much air time as Randy Orton and Edge and heaps more than the rest of the roster. SD! on the otherhand introduce good matches/segments with lots of midcard guys (e.g London/Kendrick, Boogeyman, Helms and Matt Hardy.) Smackdown makes stars! Which stars have Raw made in the last year? Spirit Squad, highlanders...WTF. However, on Smackdown, they've made Lashley, Jimmy Wayne Yang, Finlay (I know he's older and all), Kennedy, slowly building up MVP. Basiclaly I'm tired now...but SD! is so much better than RAw right now |

Wow. You sure showed them. Oh, and if MVP counts, so do Cade and Murdoch. If Finlay counts...Well, Finlay should never count. The guy was an established midcarder, and has returned to such. However, it does highlight some things I dislike about Raw. DX vs the Spirit Squad. Stupid, boring faggots vs...Well, male Cheerleaders... ![]() No, seriously, though, Spirit Squad's dominating (I know it's not so much anymore). Boooooring. DX's dominating. Boooooring. Gimmicky tag teaming with a retard and a guy who screams HOOOOOOO. Booring. Flair, and any other legend who's not Michaels on Raw. Boring. Vince/Coach, whoever's in charge. Boring. A so-called "Celebrity." Boring. By the way, when TNA's picking up bigger stars than you, it's time to reassess your business. Cena. Boring. In fact, it seems the show is mostly devoted to someone dominating someone else in predictable matches of little appeal. I'm not even trying to sell Smackdown. It being more entertaining right now is, to me, the equivalent of Comparing Hussein and Mussolini. Smackdown's more or less BARELY in the radar in terms of watchability. Between Vicky Guerrerrrrrrrrro and King Booker, I spend half the show trying to decide if I need to take a piss...Again. I love some of the folks on each show, and the numbers on S(t)D are just enouigh to keep me watching, whereas Raw is more a "well, Carlito just isn't enough to make me tune in." |

The actual point i was supposed to make in regards to the spirit squad is that altho they have 5 members, there is only one that I actually know anything about (Kenny) and Johnny to a much, much lesser extent. |

Then you probably aren't paying attention.
You can blame it on disinterest, and Hell. I do, but that's our ends, not WWE's. Spirit Squad are boring and annoying, and they make me turn the channel. However, I do know they've developed more than Kenny...I just don't care. That doesn't help your argument, however. Hell, it doesn't even help mine. Not only can't we trust our opinions or the internet, but we can't trust cable ratings, Nilsens, or anything short of the hand of GOD himself. |
