Actually I was talking about the movies (Can't really argue with all those racist storylines Austin was involved in, so I won't )

Rock is a better actor than Hogan... by a mile. You couldn't even argue that point. Hogan is a TERRIBLE actor and would never be hired as the lead in a good movie because no one would want their good movie ruined because the lead CAN'T ACT.

Rock can act, therefore he is hired to act in good movies... and make money... whether you liked DOOM or not is irrelevant (It was awful from what I hear). Fact is, the man is a movie STAR. Something Hogan could not be for the reasons I just stated.

From a wrestling stand point Hogan sucks, pure and simple. I realized that when I was 6, in 1988.


From a money making point of view, Hogan is indeed in the top 15, but when you look at him a human, he is the worst kind of self promoter, and he buys into his own hype. His name isn't Hulk Hogan, that is a stage name given to him by Vince J. Mcmahon, and taken to the next level by the Vince we all know and hate.

He is mid-50sish, has a fake hip, bad knees, and he said out of his own mouth, he doesn't want to be passed but a younger name. That is extremely selfish, he should just go away and never come back.

Nikkolas - Just so you know, Kane Knight's whole "insult gimmick" is that of a guy who judges other insults and mocks them for it. He also thinks everyone who doesn't agree with him is stupid. He's been doing this for a very long time now. A VERY long time. You're name could be Nikkolas or Zeeboe or Heyman or "whatever" and Kane Knight would throw the exact same insult out to anyone who challenges him. He's quite bad at this whole flaming thing because he never does anything new. He's kinda like the Hulkster of message boards.

It's best to ignore his insults and don't insult him back. Just keep hitting him with brain power. That is the one thing that smarks hate, because many of them try to come across as being smart, so when you outsmart them...which is very simple...they revert back to being 12-years old and try to make you mad by personally attacking you. But when you ignore them and keep responding like a mature adult........err....LOL...it pisses them off like you wouldn't believe.

FYI, wrestling is fake. You are told what to do and you do it. Hogan is booked as a brawler. So was Austin. Both could wrestle when they weren't paid to do otherwise.

YOu don't get hugely over in the AWA and NJPW by being horrible in the ring.

Also FYI, wrestling is about entertainment and telling a story. Hogan did both.

Since we got onto the discussion of what Hogan is paid to do. He was paid by WWE to work for them. In that time, he blatantly and famously refused to put over Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho.

Hogan booked as a brawler? Okay whatever. Please don't compare his wrestling career to Steve Austin. Austin had 5 star matches. Hogan didn't. Austin was arguably the best wrestler in the world prior to his neck injury and then after it, he changed up his style and still worked to the high standards expected. As for Hogan, well if you've seen one Hogan match, you've seen them all. And as for this Japanese shit, when did he have this mat classic with Antonio Inoki you speak of? The night of the IWGP title bullshit certainly wasn't a classic and I can't recall another match. There are also plently of guys who got over in Japan being horrible in the ring - most of the giants they have over there right now are over and they suck donkey dick.

Who is arguing Hogan wasn't a good entertainer? Nobody. Obviously was doing something right if millions paid money to watch him.

I know this topic all too well. I became infamous on wrestling message boards for many years, all because I was a Hogan fan and I actually did a damn good job at defending the Hulkster and that is why smarks hated me so much.

Anyway, I've been there, done that and I am tired and burned out on this subject. So with that being said...

Nikkolas - Stop wasting your time. I agree with everything you say. You are right. I was saying all the stuff you are saying now and more way back in 2002 and I can promise you, you will not be able to get these guys to change their mind, just like they won't be able to get you to change your mind. So it's best just to let this nonsense go. Unless of course, you are having fun...and I admit, I used to love doing this stuff way back when too.

But just know, you won't be able to change their minds. Even if you prove them wrong and silence them (which I did MANY times)...they are just gonna personally attack you. And going to the mods won't help because many of the people who will be flaming you WILL be the mods. Or they are friends of the mods. And if you flame em' back, you'll just end up being the one who gets banned.

And if you love the Hulkster as much as I did and still do...then they won't be able to change your minds either and this whole thing is a big waste of time for you and the people you are fighting with. But hey, if you all view this as a fun game, then party on.

They promised Hart a match with Hogan at Summerslam that year and they even took the poster pics that day of both men playing tug of war with the belt. I'm not telling Rob anything he didn't know.

Bret was pushed as the Anti-Hogan in many regards. He wasn't huge. He wasn't smoke and mirrors. He wasn't over the top with his promos. He was perhaps one of the best technical wrestlers in the business at his time. I'd say that first reign was great because he defended the title all the time, something Hogan seemed to never do (Seemed like he wrestled 4 times a year when he had the belt, and half of them were Survivor Series or Tag Matches.) He did good business because he was a fighting Champion, a simple-yet-effective booking technique. As a side note, we need more simple-yet-effective booking techniques in wrestling now.

Don't Forget, He was such a bad draw, they put him on last at a Summerslam, over Savage-Warrior for the WWF Title.
