The slapstick stuff is a bit much, but that's just what Santino has to work with. But I guess humour is subjective. I'll go out to further depths than most people, though, and I'll say that Santino Marella is far more witty than The Rock. While he was purely entertaining, The Rock's comedy was pretty much just him getting in people's faces and talking trash to them. Sure, it was funny at times, but I'd definitely say Santino's comedy is more developed. The guy almost made Vince McMahon, trying to be in serious heel mode, crack up laughing in his debut. That takes skill. Even if you're not big enough to admit it. |
