Now that it's all over, Joe's injuries have been revealed.
2 Fractured ribs and a jammed wrist. Man, if we had him in our lineup (healthy) this postseason we could have really done something. |

I don't think Sullivan could have kept him off the ice. Joe realizes that this would be his last chance in a looooong time to get the cup and his presence alone helped us a little bit.
If this was the regular season he would be on the IR list and probably not even working out with the team. He was a warrior for even dressing up and I wish the media would have just gotten off his back as they didn't even know what was wrong with him. |

I wouldn't be shocked to see them lose Tomorrow Montreal has a good history of beating the Bruins and I think raycroft my have fallen apart a little now... Not his fault but when your team doesn't play good infront of you your confidence becomes a little shakey

Yeah nice to see Kovalev finally paying off for the Canadiens.

Oh and just to comment about the whole importance of a goalie situation... if anyone can tell me last year that Anaheim sans Giguere was a better team than Dallas and Detroit I will laugh at you eternally.

It's a tough one to take.
Raycroft played fantastic, but Theodore did too. I've heard that Thornton is more seriously injured than everyone thinks. This will give him time to heal but shit, this is hard to swallow.  I'm proud of them though, they won the division and found gems in Raycroft and Bergeron. What made feel the most proud though was after the game when the team embraced Raycroft. He was what took us here in the first place and he was just incredible all season long. |

Yeah Raycroft is definitely one of the top candidates for the Calder this year. I'd be surprised if he didn't get it.
Nylander and Gonchar played pritty good that series too. Their top line (most likely due to Thornton's injury) looked really exposed in the past 3 games though. Montreal found a weakness and exploited it, that's pretty much how they won |

Montreal showed alot of heart, and I respect that. Besides Ribeiro, I have respect for their whole team.
Nylander was incredible, I hope we re-sign him instead of Murray if that's what it comes down to. Raycroft's definitely a lock for the calder, he was great all year. what really sucks is that this is probably the last Bruins game I'll be watcing in 2 years. Hockey's a big part of my life and it's going to hurt not looking forward to a game every other day. |

Apart from the Canucks, Montreal is my team. So of course I'm happy that they beat the Bruins. I've always liked the Bruins too, but well, hahaha... happy they lost.

I'll assume he had a flack jacket on or something (football QB's wear them when they have injured ribs, to help protect on hits) but the wrist also... Should the coach said "look your hurt, your on the bench" my guss is they thought they'd get past round #2, and he would heel more each day and didn't want anyone to know he was hurt or where to attack him. |

Yeah my QB had to wear one of those when he got blindsided after a play one game, he still hurt when he did anything so I figure it doesnt help ALL that much just prevents any further damage I guess? Also gertner you are wrong |

Bench, gotta do whats best for the team and if you have a healthy scratch that can play on the third line. I would much rather do that. Thornton was gonna play no matter what much like any player would want too anyways. but when you average 20 minues for 7 games and have no points and have a -4 rating I would have been benching him if I were the coach.
