Just now watched the show, only caught Vader earlier.

Tensai and Sheamus were beating the shit out of each other. Albert really has taken to Japan, Fuck me, that was some near Stan Hanson level stiff.

One thing I really don’t get, and it’s probably for reason of no one in creative thinking of it, is not giving Vader the title shot for Sunday. It would’ve been an interesting draw on a very generic card and could've played into Johnny trying to do creative stuff to keep his job. They could mention how he never won the title in the WWF/E and give him one final match.

Sheamus vs. Vader would be a blast.

No, not for the World title anyway.

Now, IF there was a great arrogant up and coming heel lower/midcard guy (maybe IC or US champion but not necessarily) who was on a great roll, (Ziggler?) maybe have him (the heel) issue an open challenge and have a surprise returning Vader accept with the result being:

a) Vader dominates and the lower card heel cheats to win the first match, leading to a short feud and a second great all out match taking both guys to the limit with the heel lower carder winning cleanly, or

b) if it's truly only a one off for Vader, have them both have a great all out match taking both guys to the limit with the heel lower carder winning cleanly.

Not as quick?

He could barely lift himself off the mat. I'm a huge vader fan, but the guy shouldn't be anywhere near the title right now. If he continues to drop weight and get in better shape then MAYBE, but for now he should just be a special attraction.

You agree with replacing your number one contender with someone who hasnt wrestled for the WWE in 13ish years, who is 58 years old and cannot work a non squash, in a title match at a PPV.

I am one of the biggest Vader marks in the world. But buy rates wouldnt change and on that, and most people wouldnt care.

You muties complain about the Champ losing at what it does to the title, then want this?

I have a feeling there will be no resolution to this AJ thing at No Way Out and it will just make me sad. WWE has a habit lately of building, building, building and then not worrying about finishing decent stories. (Eve/Ryder, Silent Jericho, etc.). This Raw set up perfectly for a "Who is AJ gonna help win???" leading to a big climactic moment at the PPV. And I feel like it's gonna end up with more questions than answers and then storyline continues and just peters out subtly.

Please prove me wrong, WWE.

Unfortunately, if the recent past is any indication, I'm afraid you may be right. Although I really hope not and for a good payoff or cool progression of the storyline at least.

At the same time, it's pretty obvious at this point she's going to help one of them win, it's just a matter of who and how. Whatever happens, if she costs Punk the title, I hope they do it well and it's something unique and somewhat unpredictable that will keep us interested and entertained, instead of just "Yeah, AJ interfered and turned on Punk costing him the title."

I've actually thought it was pretty obvious she would at least somehow get involved in Bryan's last two PPV matches and... nothing. Even while she was showing up early in the show backstage stalking him... nothing.

I've learned not to go with "obviously".

All I'm saying is Sheamus/Vader would be a better match than most of the crap currently offered on pay-per-view to us. Cena/Laurinaitis is an example.

If you think the idea of Big Johnny vs Cena had anything to do with being an actual match, then you are a fucking mutie as accused.

Vader/Sheamus MAY have been a better "Match". But it has no fucking story, no build, NO REASON FOR EXISTENCE.

You pick vader for No Way Out, you get a short match, that probably won't be very good, and won't really lead to anything, and will only serve as a spectacle.

You pick Ziggler, you get a 15-20 minute match which will in all likelyhood be anywhere from solid to great, and it could kick start a larger feud between the two, possibly cementing Ziggler as a main eventer.

But I'm sure I'm just trying to be "cool" by saying that.

Honestly, I haven't watched an episode of RAW since WrestleMania, but heard about Vader and now plan to watch at least up until the 1000th RAW, just to see who else might show up during the next several weeks. Other than that, the post that I mentioned "most of the current crap offered" is in fact why I've stopped.
