Jays have a worse record right now than they did at this time last year. (By a couple games.) However I believe this year, while they're not expected to do much, they will be better than last year.

Red Sox have been awful this year because Lester started slow and Beckett has been AWFUL. Sure, the Bullpen hasn't been great, but its been serviceable. 3 weeks ago I traded Beckett for Chone Figgins. Still do not know who is getting the better end of that deal

Ridiculous night for Angel Pagan so far. Inside the park HR, a great catch that saved what might have been an inside the park HR for the Nats, and then he starts the ever-common 8-2-6-3 triple play as the Nats baserunners have no idea wtf is going on.

He would have actually had enough time to run to the infield and turn an unassisted triple play as a center fielder. Would have been epic.

Wow, Marcus Thames injures himself by stepping on his own bat as he's running down the first base line. Looks like he might have just rolled his ankle or something but he gets taken out of the game. He is really terrible in the OF but at least he's been hitting so far.

Oh joy, more drama in Met land. John Maine throws 5 pitches last night, never getting above 85 MPH when he usually hits 90. Jerry Manuel and Dan Warthen noticed something off about his motion, so they pulled him from the game. Fortunately, reliever Raul Valdes got the Mets through 5 innings.

Maine is all pissed off, saying he was fine and blasting Manuel for showing a lack of confidence (not that Maine has done anything to warrant confidence) that he could get people out.

But yeah, just more example of Jerry Watch being in full effect. I think if the Yanks sweep the Mets, Jerry should be let go on Monday...but he'll probably get to stay through at least the Phillies series.
