The Veron sending off was utterly hilarious....imagine if that happened to Arsenal in the Premiership

Why was everyone saying Lampard score a wonder goal, when clearly it was the keepers fault

Why does it seem that all the pundits don't actually watch football at all. They talk about what a huge shock Lyon beating Madrid was.....its only a shock if you don't follow football at all.

It would be nice to think it would however there is too much inconsistancy with refs for it to happen.

The last time I can remeber a player being booked for something like this was gazza when he played for rangers. The ref dropped his yellow card so gazza picked it up and pretended to book the ref, who swiftly booked gazza for doing this.

There are prob loads more but thats the one that sticks in my mind. The refs do take to much shit from the players, but i for one dont want to see them giving out bookings everytime a player has a word etc. It would ruin the game.

However if the player is blatently taking the piss alla rooney then yeh book him.

I'm not against players having a word with the ref or anything, but (and I know there's loads more examples of this) things like Alan Smith clearly telling the ref to fuck off in the manchester derby shouldn't be tolerated, refs need to grow a set really.

Thants a good example of when they should get sent off, if he told the ref to fuck off then the ref shouuld say why dont you and show him the red.

There was a game in my league a few years back that was abandend after the ref sent someone off for swearing at him. The guy he sent off punched the ref then went to his car and came back with a crowbar ready to attack the ref with it. The game was called after the ref ran off to his car and drove away The ref no longer refs and the guy was banned for life from our league

there seems to be a hamstring curse at newcastle, Owen has a history of hamstring trouble so i wouldnt be surprised if he gets injured soon. It was the same with boro last year, we had a broken leg and knee ligiment damage curse all picked up in training which is what pissed me off the most.

We won but the game was boring as hell. Maccarone yet again puts in a man of the match display and yet again Mclaren takes him off. Emerson looked good on his return and was recieved well untill he had a go at pogetetz for not putting the ball out when a man was down (swiftly followed the 'who the fucking hell are you' chants along with some 'im surprised your wife let you come to middlesbrough as she wouldnt let you when you played for us').

Mclaren has the nerve to complain that the fans stayed away, It's called learning from experience. Last season he played negative side's with no flair, last season for the same stage of the competition tickets were about £15, this season we have played crap in our last 3 home games. So what does Mclaren do about this?

He yet again plays a negative team which was a weakened team in reality and we increase the prices to £20, its no wonder the fans stay away, I wish i had, i rushed like mad to get there for kick off and I was bored shitless.
