Did the game force retire you specifically or anyone after 12 years? Like if I start at 25 will I retirement at 37? Or is it random?

I'm thinking of using gsp going up a weight class and dethroning Silva in career mode or visit versa

Honestly, the online and a few KO's with shots that missed are the only bad things I can say. Everything else has been tweaked to fuck and is much better than 2010. Pride is just the icing on the cake.

Was just playing the PSP version of 2010. Was destroying Alves with GSP and hit him with a headkick and Alvez just stood there while GSP celebrated.

Despite the fact he wasn't even rocked by the kick and just stood there, it was a KO victory.

that's not true. i made a point of going undefeated with CAFs on hard mode and picking the highest rank fighter every time. i imagine it's a lot harder at heavyweight than lightweight though. rubber guard + punch spamming til standup helps achieve the goal (in 2010 at least)

20-2 in my career mode rn, lost to Pat Barry in a slugfest due to "perfect punch" but destroyed him in a rematch. Lost my title shot to Brock when I backed off for the last minute or so of the 5th round thinking I'd got the decision sewn up but it came out 48-47 Brock on all 3 scorecards although I was pretty sure I'd won at least 3 rounds #1 contender fight against Frank Mir was probably the most "satisfying" fight I've ever had in a career mode on these games

getting quite tired of the Counter game plan, I win by KO or TKO, avoid being knocked down but get "failure" on "Cause a knockdown or knockout"...despite winning the fight by Knockout.

Really enjoying this game so far. I got to 23-0 before I was knocked out about 12 seconds into a Pride fight by a jumping knee.

My only real complaint so far is load times, there pretty shit and it cant even change a menu without thinking it seems

I'm just not getting into it. Happy I got it through gamefly and didn't buy it. I dunno, I definitely see the improvements over the last game, but in the end, it's still the same. Plus, the fighters feel even more generic this time around.

On the subject of AI I find if you get rocked your better to cover up to get back on track then go maximum attack counter punching and I usually find you can rock them and finish pretty quickly.
