What about Tom Hardy playing Batman? Sure he's younger then the rumors are saying, but that would be pretty cool.

Ian McKellen should play Batman.
Judi Dench should play Alfred. |

I've got it lads. Danny DeVito plays him at the beginning when he's retired and chilling on a beach with Alfred sipping on some mojito's. Then some nasty little critter causes havoc, his red bat-phone goes off to ask for his help. We then get a 5-10 minute montage of him training to get back in shape, and at the end, out walks Arnold Schwarzenegger with the bat mask in hand.

Another solid idea right there. A puppet Batman could be very innovative.

Umm, Christian Bale is in his late 40s anyway. He's a dead cert to play The Batman one more time. Mark my words Christian Bale will be in this movie, you can put your house on it.

For some reason that quote in Lock Jaw's post did not show up instantly and I thought he was suggesting Vinny Mac play Batman

I'd like to see them wait on all the additional characters. I really want an established but still somewhat young (early 30s) Batman adopting Dick Grayson and dealing with the aspects of being a father figure and allowing a young but skilled child like Dick joining his war on crime.

I think, in terms of overall chops, Gosling is the strongest choice. I'd prefer someone with a bigger build, maybe a better voice, and darker hair, but two of those things can be remedied. So I guess his voice may be the only if for me.
But I'd be stoked to see the role go from an esteemed actor in Bale to another esteemed actor in Gosling. Brings a bit of prestige to the role. |
