The Wii has USB ports. Maybe it will be able to use standard keyboards.

The sports game comes with the console, and as stated maybe 50,000 times before the console and its games are not about "zomg we got a 50,000 polygon tennis ball".

As far as I know it will be a case of punching with your left and right hands for real to punch with that hand on screen. And bringing your hands up or togethor to block. Both the wiimote and nunchuck have motion detectors and stuff inside them.

Pre-ordered mine a little while ago, hoping that the store do a midnight release cos I am so there!

Pre-ordered Zelda, Red Steel, an extra Nunchuku and Wiimote, as well as Excite Truck for the hell of it, THOUGH, when I got home the guy had wrote 'Side track' instead of Excite Truck, I was like wtf.

Only 47 days for us European's.

I just Pre-ordered one here from Gamespot; I got the second to last one they had. Thing is, they're only getting 9. Crazy. They said they might get another shipment in before Christmas, but it would only be like 12 tops, and it wasn't because the store couldn't get anymore, but becusae Nintnedo produced so few. So apparently Nintendo is going for a small launch. Supply and Demand I guess.

the old DBZ nerd that still exists somewhere inside me wants the DBZ game, cuz you actually do the dbz moves like spirit bomb and kamehameha with your hands and the wiimote.. it's cool/nerdy

I want a Wii but I haven't pre ordered yet. Dunno if I should or not for a number of reasons involving money and "situations" that seems to pop up alot recently.

There have been rumours that up to 9 million Wii units have been made (as mentioned by Matt Casamassina the Editor-in-Chief of IGN Wii) and because Nintendo has said countless times that there will be no shortage on the console I think that there might not be a lot of pre-orders because people will probably think they'll just be able to pick one up anyways.

I was second on the Game pre-order list though.

If I don't pick Excite Truck up on launch, ill probably ask for Excite Truck or Call Duty 3 for Christmas, and might pick up Rayman Raving Rabbids sometime along the way as well.

Nintendo are developing their online strategy but it's along the lines of the DS and its network. From what I know, every Wii will have what's called a 'Wii Number, much like on the DS i.e you have friend codes, with the DS you exchange friend codes yourself, in person, online, a topic on tpww etc, the Wii is the same as this, though instead of there being a Friend Code for every game that was compatible online with the DS, you will simply have ONE number, your Wii Number that you can exhange and people can add you.

For example, we exhange Wii Numbers, add each other, and in games like Wii Play and I think Wii sports, I could be playing a game and your Mii can turn up when your online.

It's basically as secure as you make it in some ways, simply add people you know/trust or whatever.
