Indeed its amazing we need to find a way to weaponize Daniel Bryan against other large evil corporations like Comcast he can be the catalyst for change the likes of which this country has not seen in a long time.

The biggest letdown of the night is that outside of establishing Lesnar-Reigns they have planted zero seeds for other Mania matches. The Rumble historically setups a handful of storylines and we didn't even get that.

Aside from that, we've only got ourselves to blame.

How many months has it been in the Dirtsheets that they see Reigns as the new Cena and they'll be pushing him to a Main Event spit against Lesnar? 4 months? 6?

Yet we convinced ourselves that something else was gonna happen. Bryan came back and the story of him never losing the title and a David vs Goliath battle with Lesnar at Mania, and getting the Rumble win he should have got last year.

Ziggler and the shine he got from his Survivor Series win. Rusev and the momentum he's gained. Ambrose and his getting over in the interim during Reigns' injury. Wyatt and his re-established push.

Seth being added to the title match, the added dynamic of the briefcase, the potential of Orton getting involved with him. The potential of Undertaker getting involved with Lesnar.

They delivered exactly what we should have expected.

They delivered exactly what we should have expected.

This right here is the problem.

As I eluted to last night in a roundabout way, if Duke The Dumpster Drose eliminated Reigns, the place would have popped. Not nearly loud enough had it been Daniel Bryan of course, but they certainly wouldn't have booed him out of the building.

The fact that Reigns was anointed the backstage rub and then adding to it that his character development plainly is non-existent, the audience knew what was going to happen when the heavy favorite in our minds was gone. This would have been the perfect opportunity to do something different and give it to someone who worked for it.

Realistically, the only time in recent years where we got that true "Oh Shit" moment was Lesnar ending the streak. To which many feel, as do I, that should not have happened in the 1st place

I think the biggest issue was the lackluster eliminations.... Like if Bryan/Ambrose/Ziggler had better eliminations/showings.... if their eliminations served some sort of "purpose" of setting up their angle/feuds going into Wrestlemania....

i don't think anything they could have done would have changed the crowd's reaction to the finish with roman reigns winning. they just weren't going to buy it.

As soon as DB was just dropped from elimination, and the boos rang out, I had a feeling it was going to be like last year. I guessed myself there might be an "accidental" elimination which would result in something but nope.

I agree, but the crowd wouldn't have been as dead.

The boos were inevitable.... but Reigns will get his cheers back when he goes back in front of a "normal" crowd.

I don't see how Reigns couldn't have won. He set an elimination record last year in the match. They established that he was a threat in this type of match last year and followed up on it this year.

I think Daniel Bryan should start a heel "Jesus" gimmick.

When they had that video package earlier in the night, and cut to the close up of Bryan, I literally thought it was Jesus at first....

Now that he is "out of Mania", he should embrace his Jesus-likeness. He can be all "I was injured for your sins, but I was resurrected..." and turn "heel" by trying again to use his "followers" to weasel himself into the main event again, and then getting frustrated that it isn't working this year... and saying that the fans aren't true believers... and he will find some REAL true believers to help him...

Even with DB eliminated which took me a back, I still had hope for the second half.

Just the way they had ANY threat other then Big Show/Kane look was just awful. Just Awful. Wyatt. Ambrose. Ziggler. Ryback. Basically anyone who had ANY sort of momentum or a reason to believe they had a chance to win were just thrown out as after thoughts. That's what pissed me off the most last night and I consider myself a pretty big Bryan fan. Even Wyatt's strong showing in first half was just shit down the toilet. Rumble is used to build people up, even if they don't win. (Reigns last year, Kane in 2001, Diesel that year he eliminated the most) That is what had me shaking my head.

After watching 2014 Rumble live didn't think could get dumber, but they did.

Sad thing is, as others said, ain't even Roman's fault and he will get the brunt of it.

I still question the validity of that vote. It was "a work" IMO.

Dude was barely active in 2014, at least for that accolade.

At least the triple threat was awesome. Save Wrestlemania, Rollins!

This .I don't mind reigns winning but he was much hotter least year.now he has no momentum and of course wwe shoves him down our throat.like Batista last year there was no real drama

Well given the amount of stick I have been receiving for merely stating that Bryan wasn't going to win the rumble, I felt the need to gloat about it.
