I wouldn't be completely surprised as Hallady has voiced over the last 1 1/2 that he's tired of mediocrity. He's been saying that to spark his team, but at some point I'd bet he'd get frustrated and want out. They just signed him though to a multi year multi $$$ contract so they'll do everything they can to keep him.

Crazy brawl at a minor league game. No sound but here's a vid of it...the pitcher who threw the ball wound up getting arrested cause it hit a fan, causing injuries.

Nady just got pulled from the Pirates game and Marte was shown in the dugout shaking hands as well. And supposedly the Yanks pulled their pitcher from a AA game. Hmm...

Kind of on the fence about the deal. It will obviously help this year but I don't really think a lefty reliever was vital for the Yankees. Giving up Tabata was really the only one that hurts. It just seems like a case of selling Tabata at his lowest value and buying Nady at his highest value during a career year.

The only top guy they really gave up was Tabata but he was probably top 5 prospect wise for their system. His stock really fell this year with injuries and other discipline problems though. I think the emergence of Jackson this year made this a lot easier for the Yankees.

Yeah I love Nady...I really wanted the Mets to get him but they'd have had to give up Jon Niese...who as far as I'm concerned should be going nowhere since he was born on 10/27/86...the exact day the Mets won the WS.

At least the Yanks have a player I like.

I only saw the 9th inning cause I was watching the Mets but that was a pretty crappy call...but from what I hear he had a huge strike zone all day so Lowell should have swung.

as most of you know I'm not a big Youke fan, but can someone explain to me what the Jaba issue is with him and why the fucking umps don't just start tossing jabba out? I mean, he's now thrown at him 4 times in 4 games... next time if he does it they should just toss him no warning.

I dont remember that happening, any idea when?

They haev a rule like that to prevent Ump grudges. Like When you are ejected, you can appeal and they review the Ump's judgement. That way he cant be "well, 2 years ago he called me fat" and wrongly effect the outcome of the game.

Fuck, I thought Blake was the best option for the Mets...I even had him above Nady (as much as I love him). I guess I'd rank the options left as such:

1. Bay (Bucs will charge a shitload since they've already traded Nady and still have Bay under contract another year)
2. Dunn (Mets have shown no interest, plus he strikes out a ton...great power though)
3. Ibanez (not too thrilled about a decent, but nothing special, lefty bat)
4. Stand pat (better than the last two options)
5. Giles (nothing against Giles, I just fail to see how he would fit on this Mets team)
6. Winn (I would vomit if the Mets got him...he sucks)
