Yeah, Ponson obviously isn't an ideal starter but Chacon has just been awful after getting hit in the leg. Not expecting much out of him though and you have to assume he will be on a short leash.

On the flip side of that though those starts could have been used to help straighten Chacon out so I dunno. He is in the pen now but I don't see how he will be used in that role unless there is a blow out.

Difference is Schilling has won a world series, Mussina has no WS, no 20 win seasons or completely ultra dominating seasons.

Thing is, probably no one after Tom Glavine will get to 300 wins (assuming he does), Mussina if he carries on well this year and then pitches a few more seasons could probably get to about 260-270 and close to 3000 K's, that ain't half bad.

How anybody who isn't a Red Sox fan doesn't hate Curt Schilling is beyond me. Zito hits Ortiz in the fingers obviously unintentionally, so yeah trying to kill Nick Swisher with a baseball is probably the best way to handle that situation.

OH WAIT I forgot he pitched a baseball game with what may or may not have been blood in his sock. He's an American hero and it was one of the greatest postseason performances in history. My mistake

Also looks like Boston are going down to the A's right now

I really fancy us to give Boston a good run for their money for the division title. If we get Matsui, Sheff and maybe Carl Pavano (not sure what the predictions are for his return though) back for the playoffs (providing we get in) i reckon we'd have an outside chance, especially given the experience of a lot of our guys, but i dunno Detroit are lookin hot shit right now
