I'm waiting to see the seeding before making a prediction.

Steelers have the best shot and beating the Pats.

If it's Colts at Steelers it all depends on if Peyton can get into a good rhythm.

Against the Eagles, be fucking physical on offense. Their weakness is the run D, which will keep Dawkins and company honest when it comes to the play action.

Indy wins their last two, Pats lose their last two, Indy has homfield over the Pats and the first round bye.

Pats would host the Wild card game

Same if the Charges win their last two.

if Tied, the Pats are over the Colts due to head to head win.

Not sure about SD/Pats. They both still have AFC teams to play which would effect a tie breaker.

A lot has changed since the first game of the season, and really Boston fans should be the last to be using the "last year" argument, with the Red Sox winning the World Series and all. I'm not saying the Colts are a better team or anything, I'm just saying its stupid to flame somebody for being optimistic about a really really good team.

there is a difference there (even though w/ the Sox I always felt it was less to do w/ not being able to win, and more to do w/ better teams they faced).

In the case of the Sox you're talking about a team, who'se players kept changing.

On the flip side, you're talking about Manning, 1 player.

If you said "Pedro can't win the big game"

That would be a better comparison, in terms of relevence and ability to effect a game.

I don't think the Colts were favored to win last year at all though. The Pats were real hot, playing at home, and eventual champions, so for the Colts to win would have been an upset. I know theres been much more then last year with Payton not winning big games, but I don't think anybody was going to beat the Pats in that condition last year.

VEL, its Christmas Eve, I think we should both go spend some time with our families and sip some hot cocoa. I'll be back tomorrow

I understand what you were trying to say, I just disagree (which is fine, it's an opinion issue, there's no right/wrong) but the example of the sox was a poor example, because it involved different players over different years.

That being said, even when the Pats had a bad team 2000, they upset the Colts (I was at the game, luxury box... Bishop threw a TD right before the half...)

Yeah, Belicheck has always seemed to have Mannings number.
