Apart from Donkey Kong Country on the SNES I'm gonna wait to buy VC titles, cos I either have them on my NES, SNES and N64 anyway or I'll wait for that 'I just completed Zelda, what am I supposed to do with my spare time now' day and go nostalgic then.

Went to Game today, the place I pre-ordered, they weren't sure if they would do a midnight release ( ) and they said they might not have many consoles after all the employees get theres (Which is gay cos I talk to a lot of the people in there and I so desereve a Wii more than them )

So I pre-ordered at Woolworths where I got a 20% discount from my mate, I'll get the console bundle but can't pre-order games, so I'll just pick them up from Game, where I pre-ordered them anyways. Ssssssssssss.

33 days 6 hours.

Also the Southpark episode with the Wii is pretty awesome.

Yes it's the predecessor to the Cube. But you can download old Nintendo, SNES, N64, and Sega games for a small price. And Turbo Fax or something of the like.

For any of the UK guys, have you found/seen anyone who's doing a pre-order bundle other than the standard console w/Wii Sports? Like is anyone throwing in Zelda on top for a little bit more, something like that?

I'm wondering if you can play some of these games with the Virtual Console controller. Would it defeat the gimick of the console if I wanna play Marvel UA, Zelda TP, or DBZ T2 with a more traditional control scheme? Do I even have the option?

Also:

Should I get a Wii next wiik or team up with a friend I stay with to get a 360 with Gears?

Watching it being played right now. Pretty disappointed, tbh. I mean, I wasn't looking forward to it in the first place, but I did have higher hopes than what I'm looking at. The kids playing it think it's great, but I think the games could be a lot more polished. Up until today, I didn't even know it had a sensor bar for the controller. Thought it was going to be a completely tilt controller, but the sensor doesn't seem to pick up very well. Just starting up the Wii's and setting them up was a pain, as the sensor didn't want to aim properly.

just bought the action bundle from toys r us for $590. comes with another controller, Call of Duy 3, Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Zelda of course, Madden 07, and super monkey ball which i could care less about really...

I love it already. There are only two games I want to play right now, but that's fine. Both will hold me until more games come out. I personally find the sensor bar extremely easy to use.

I had to get it with Excite Truck and Rayman Raving Rabbits, but whatever. I'll trade them in tomorrow somewhere. I got Twilight Princess today. I'm not a huge Zelda fan, but Nintendo has delayed it a lot to make sure it was a great game so I have faith in it. I might just keep Rayman. Looks like fun, I just don't know how long the fun will last though.

If you're unsure about the games, hold off on a Wii until there are more games you're very interested in. If you have patience, wait a year or so until Nintendo really figures out what works and doesn't work for games. The DS had some good games when it came out, but lately they've been releasing a lot of awesome games (and some shit too, but the awesome games are awesome).

The console is very different, but mad fun. I'm about to try Wii Sports.

Don't bother buying it now. Only game that's worth playing is Zelda and you can get that for the Gamecube. It's a hassle to set up and the fact you have to take off the back of the battery pack to synchronize it is stupid. I guess it's not a big deal if you don't change consoles a lot. They only have a certain number of games for the virtual console right now and like half the features aren't even ready.

I know people say that Sony makes products that feel like they've been rushed to release but Nintendo did a horrid job with this. I guess if you're a die hard Nintendo fanboy, which I realize there are a few on this board, then I guess you'll see past it all but it's pretty ridiculous. Give it time before you buy it.
