Already about to finish the 3rd book. This book was fucking craaaazy. Can't even count the number of times I laughed out loud at something that happened/was said. Toward the end I was fucking glued to it. So happy when certain things happened, and legit surprised at certain things.
Fantastic book. Like 25 pages away from finishing it I think, and I already picked up the next one. |

Has taken me like 3 days to get thru 180 pages of the first one. |

I've just finished 'A Feast for Crows' not as good as Storm of Swords in that not as much happens but I still cannot see an ending, I want this fictional world to be real and neverending.
Buzzkill, Theres something coming up soon that you will like about Varys. He's as slick as Littlefinger in some ways. |

I'm like 80 pages from finishing A Feast for Crows. Definitely not as good as the previous book, but I'm looking forward to the next to see what happens from the other perspectives.

Just got a hardback copy of Dance with dragons, it's heavy as a Narcissus, I'll be able to legit do a 'gunshow' by the time I've finished this.

Already really like the beginning of Dance. Also got the hardback, and wish the store had had hardbacks of all the rest so I'd have the whole collection in hardback. It is pretty nice.

I really don't understand why they changed a couple of the characters. Even just minor things like a name.
Doesn't make sense to me. |

omgomgomgomg i want.
Also, I finished the current books. It is both awesome, and terrible that I have to wait about 7 years now to see this show/series finished. It was said by Martin that the 3rd book would likely be split into 2 seasons. |

Yeah I can't imagine them fitting all of Book 3 into a season...it would just be too much omfg packed into 10 episodes

Did DWD make up for the slog of AFfC?

Yes, I really liked it. Not that I didn't like AFfC, as it introduced a lot of new perspectives and such. It was just slow, and it wasn't focused on the characters I wanted to hear about for the most part. DWD was a whole lot of what I wanted to read about.

Yeah, DWD was pretty tremendous. In some of the books certain characters have a lot of chapters but they still feel kind of stagnant, but in DWD I thought that every chapter was actually moving the story forward in a significant way.
The next book better not take as long to come out as DWD did though. |

Love this series. I got at stark coffee cup and a greyjoy custom title.
I'm up to the third book as well. Watching the bluray extras. |

She wants to and would watch it over here. But if we are watching it at her house, her son would most likely come in and probably while there are tits on the screen.
Anyhow, I understand why they have to change things from book to screen, but I am disappointed the Hound doesn't get more play in the show. |

Kinda forgotten some bits from season 1. Might have to rewatch if I get the chance, or maybe just hope my memory will be refreshed while watching.

Think I'm gonna go buy the blu ray tomorrow. Don't really know all that much about the show but I've heard good things and at the bargain price of £25.50 for the HD discs, who can argue?

In the time between the two seasons I read all 5 books and am an ardent fan now. Just wish I didn't have to wait another 2-3 years for the next book
