seriously I'm pretty sure could've played a better outfield than he did when he was here, and he's making incredible catches and actually running the bases competently for the Mets

Stadiums sell a bunch of those balls too. My biggest baseball-related regret in my life is not buying a Ryan Raburn HBP ball from Comerica park last summer for $30. My buddy was at the game when it happened, and Raburn got beaned by Dylan Axelrod. After the non-buy, same buddy was at a Sox/Tigers game that Axelrod was again pitching at, and by a cruel Twist of Fate (© Matt Hardy) actually ran into Axelrod at the game. Would've been a perfect moment, having Axelrod sign the ball. Alas.

PS fuck Ryan Raburn.

I'm still pretty marveled at just how well the Tribe is doing this season. 6 games back on the Tigers, and Detroit is 12-3 head-to-head this season against them. Couple games the other way and things would be a lot more interesting.

Yankees game was a heartbreaker last night. As Warren came out I said to a friend, ,"I like this guy, if we need a starter to replace Hughes or Pettite later this year he could be the guy." Almost Immediately tried to punch myself in the face.

I had kind of the opposite happen. When Bonderman came out in the 11th I thought he was going to give up a walk-off HR or something. Instead he pitched 3 REALLY solid innings for the Tigers and ended up with the W. Kind of marked out a bit (as evidenced by post #2617).
