This is an article i found on Yahoo sports. Its the Eagles giving Rosenhaus permission to seek a trade for Owens. With this being the case, i don't see anyone trading for him. It would be stupid.
PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- The Philadelphia Eagles have given agent Drew Rosenhaus permission to seek a trade for Terrell Owens, though it's unlikely a team would give up players or draft picks for the star receiver. Owens' tumultuous time in Philadelphia ended in November when the Eagles suspended him four games for conduct detrimental to the team and deactivated him the last five games of the season. ADVERTISEMENT A series of infractions, including repeated criticism of quarterback Donovan McNabb and a verbal shot at the organization, led to Owens' banishment. Rosenhaus has worked out trades for other client's in the past, including Washington running back Clinton Portis. However, it'll be difficult to do so with Owens, considering other teams know the Eagles are forced to cut him by March 1. Owens is due a $2.5 million signing bonus and $5 million roster bonus by that date if the Eagles don't let him go before. Owens has five seasons remaining on the seven-year, $48.97 million contract he signed in March 2004. If a team trades for Owens, it would assume the contract he negotiated with the Eagles or redo the deal. Owens is due a base salary of $770,000 next season, and was set to earn $5.5 million in 2007, $6.5 million in 2008, $7.5 million in 2009, and $8.5 million in 2010. His problems in Philadelphia started when he demanded a new contract after an outstanding season in which he caught 77 passes for 1,200 yards and 14 touchdowns, helping the Eagles reach the Super Bowl for the first time in 24 years. The 10-year veteran caught 47 passes for 763 yards and six touchdowns in a career-low seven games this season. In late November, arbitrator Richard Bloch upheld the Eagles' suspension of Owens. |

Jay Cutler will have the best career as a pro out of the QBs taken this year, IMO

Someone will trade for him, the only reason is, it keeps him from being on the open market.
Plus, you can renegotiate deals. I told you what I would do, not what I think they'll do. Anyway, someone tell me this, all the jobs Kubiack has turned down over the years, what made the Texas so appealing that he took it? |

The more probable reasons are: 1) He's a native Texan 2) Reggie Bush 3) ...Reggie Bush. Actually #3 should be, it's about time. He's been around too long to never get a head coaching job. Maybe he didn't want to jump the gun and embarrass himself. And if this was the year to do it, Vikings are win now. Packers are win 5 years ago, Lions are win never, Chiefs are win yesterday, but break a hip tomorrow, Rams are win in 99. So in a way, maybe it's potential... the Texans are the only team with three good skill position players. trade a mid-round pick for Owens, and you have the potential to be an amazing offense... Oops, potential! ![]() |

again, we'll agree to disagree on Owens. There will probably be a trade before a cut.
on Kubiack they've been reporting it on the radio, but I don't see anything on espn's site, so it may be a speculation they jumped the guy on. I did just read an article that Kubiack didn't leave Denver because his kids were "growing up" and didn't want to move them around, but he's from Houston, played at A&M and interviewed for the Texans job before Capers got it. There are rules about coaches interviewing during playoffs, I think it's usually only on a bye week, but a team can give permission at other times. Kubiack interviews last week during the bye. The NFL had to set up rules, because the top OC/DC on super bowl teams, weren't getting jobs because owners were making decisions before the superbowl and these guys were busy trying to win still. |

Packers new coach is going to be Mike McCarthy, offensive coordinator of the 49ers.
He has coached for 20+ years and has a good relationship with Favre. Plus he was here (GB) in 1999. Many people will bash this, but hey, don't judge a guy before you see what he does with a team. I am very much looking forward to next season. |

Even though I picked Denver, I checked the spread last night and the Pats were evens at +3, which is unbelievably tempting

Perhaps in the NFL it is slightly different because there are so few genuinely qualified candidates?

Give the baby a bottle would ya Pittsburgh?
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/playof...ory?id=2289603 I think the Colts style is pretty smash mouth. Fuck your back ups. We're gunna wear your ass out down the field. No substitutions. Eat shit Pittsburgh. Or maybe get a little more game stamina maybe? Or just cry about it and get your ass stomped for a second time this year. |

Eh, Porter just wants to bait them so they change their game and try to prove him wrong by trying to hit everything in sight.
Either that or he never engages his brain while playing. |

If they loose "we were the better team". It doesn't matter if they're down 21 points in the 4th, their mouth keeps going. That being said, the Colts aren't a "smash mouth" offense, that's not how their built and that's not what they need to be, plenty of teams aren't. I think their record shows their style works pretty well for them. Also, we're still waiting for: Quote:

Their top reasons why the Broncos will win. 1) The Pats lost 28-20 earlier this year. 2) The Pats haven't won in Denver since 2003 3) Denver won the last time these two met in the playoffs 22-17 It's really funny, I mean I can pull plenty of reasons and ways, why the Broncos could win, logical ones, such as, they have a good OL and if they pound the ball enough, and the Pats keep 8 in the box, they have a chance to burn those DB's going deep. Using their logic, the Pats should win since they are on a 10-0 run in the playoffs and meanwhile Shanahan hasn't won a playoff game w/o Elway. (which is a stupid reason and no, I'm not using that as a reason). TGIF, Friday will fly by, can't wait till Saturday night! |

Holy shit, Palmer's injury is worse than a torn ACL and MCL but his doctors still think he could be back for the start of next season. CRAZY

If you base your hatred of the Steelers on Joey Porter, I wouldn't.
A bunch of us in Pittsburgh can't stand him either. |

yep, Pats lost, still got 3 rings the last 4 years
![]() The Pass interferance call was complete crap, the Side Judge had the view and didn't throw it, the back judge from the other side of the field threw it, horrible call. The turnovers (like any team) killed the pats, I give the Broncos credit, they capitalised on turnovers which is what the good teams do to win. Play of the game, Ben Watson on Champ Bailey ![]() We've been spoiled as Pats fans, Vinateri always hits them, Brady doesn't make bad throws, they don't fumble... but it all happened today. Troy Brown, best KR on the team, the guy who is put in for high/short kicks... Ellis Hobbs... Kevin Faulk... what can I say, Denver won. *tips hat to Denver fans* Held Bell/Anderson to under 90yds combined Held Plummer to under 200 yds, sacked twice. Brady never got sacked, threw for 341yds 5 turnovers. That should be the real score. Denver 5, Patriots 1. The turnovers is what killed the Pats. ugh... I'd rather have been just completely out played then lose that way. I'd rather have seen plummer put up 400yds and andersn and bell each rush for 100yds, the lose on 5 fucking turnovers. |
