With the money the Yankees spend, they should be winning one practically every year.

Baseball needs a cap. It's pretty much making 75 percent of the leagues teams irrelevant every season. Like, what's the point of even coming out and playing?

Its not like its been the same teams winning the WS every year. The past 9 years there's only been one team thats won the series more than once.

01 - Arizona
02 - Angels
03 - Marlins
04 - Red Sox
05 - White Sox
06 - Cardinals
07 - Red Sox
08 - Phillies
09 - Yankees

Anyway, not really gonna go into the whole debate but all those teams that can't do anything now and aren't putting any money into the team will still be the same if there is a salary cap. Salary cap doesn't force them to be competitive at all. Nothing will change unless they put in a salary floor as well.

The idea of only one repeat winner in 9 years doesn't reinforce your point. The issue is that one team can spend far an above what anyone else can spend and not really be affected when they spend poorly. See, Carl Pavano and Kei Igawa.

A salary cap doesn't force teams to be competitive but puts teams on a semi legitimate playing field, which is more than the nothing we have now
