Goldberg wasn't a bad wrestler. He did his job very well in my opinion. He was marketed amazingly too.

Scott Hall was a better wrestler.

lol Hall's picture.

Went with Hall mainly because Goldberg was built using a massive undefeated streak but once he lost, he started to loose momentum as a character. Most of that would have been due to the horrible WCW writers but Goldberg didn't help with the problem either such as him being a horrible heel.

Goldberg was more popular in the short term but Hall was part of a key event that really heated up the Monday Night War (The Outsiders and original NwO). Hall also had a better character in WWF and WCW than the generic big man but semi-athletic that Goldberg had in WCW.

During Jericho's WCW run, Bischoff booked Hall to squash him in a random Nitro match. Hall didn't like/understand this at all.
Not only did he let him get in a ton of offense during the match, he told him to go ahead and roll him up for the win.
Hall, with his stroke, willingly answered to Bischoff for this so Jericho could get the rub.
