ECW Smarks...
The worst kind of smark. That's right, I said it. And WWECW wasn't that bad. Except for December to Dismember, let us never remember that

Inclined to disagree. ECW LOYALISTS are the worst kind of smarks.
Much like TNA loyalists, ROH loyalists, or even WWE loyalists. They can only see how the one company is and was the "best fed EVAR!!!1!!one!" and not see and enjoy wrestling as a whole of the industry. Hell, one of the best things about the wrestling high tide in the late 90's was when (wrestler X) showed up on (show Y)! The only reason why ECW loyalists are worse is because... well... the company isn't around anymore. Hell, the last true ECW Champion isn't even truly recognized as such. |

Case in point. "Cane Dewey" is a damn fine promo. One of the best I've ever heard, actually, even with his flub on the pain shooting through his "bgody". However, the loyalist point to this and ironically turn a phrase uttered many a night by Tony Ski-a-vone: "That was the best promo in the history of promos! Everything else sucks! All of Foley's best shit was in ECW during his anti-hardcore phase!" If he came up with "Cane Dewey" as Mankind in WWF, to those same people, it would have sucked.

I don't really see any problem with ECW fans except when they use to chant 'you sold out' to people leaving for WCW or WWF. Granted, I know there is no legit hatred, and that they're thankful for the work that wrestler has done and wishes them well, and that 'you sold out' was just one of those things that were done without question, but it always seemed a bit arrogant to me. It's like 'Oh, you'd prefer this wrestler to work here for a $100 cheque that might bounce, instead of going to a big multi-million dollar company... ok!'.
