Had much much more fun with RE2 than any of the others, loved that game. RE1's voice acting is legendary. RE4 I honestly cant rememeber 75% of what happened in the game and 15% of what I do remember is repeatedly dying in QTE. RE5 is functionally retarded.

Resident Evil 3 scared the hell out of me! Going with that one.

Rather hard to choose. 4 and 5 are different than the rest of the series and super fun (Well 4 at least was). 1 and 2 are legendary to me. 3 was okay compared to 1 and 2.
Hard choice, went with 1 but 2 and 4 are close as you can get. |

Four was the first one I enjoyed, and it's still very high on my list of favorite games ever.

RE3 is my favorite of the series; I love how it gave you insight as to the events prior to and during RE2 from a different character's perspective, let you see more of Raccoon City, and there was the ever-present threat of Nemesis looming around each bend.
Resident Evil has given me plenty of 'jump scares', but RE3 is the only one in the series to give me that constant ambiance of dread and horror. |

Resident Evil 4 but was torn between RE2 and RE4.
Could never get used to the old control scheme for RE2 and the remake of RE 1 but Capcom fixed that just by changing the camera in RE 4. RE 4 did have more action than previous games but it still kept in some horror unlike RE games after it. |

I literally wouldn't play RE2 without the lights on.
