Rate the Game: Week 94
Welcome and good morning everyone. It feels like January is going on forever. Well it's coming to a close regardless as we enter the last Rate the Game for the month and next week begins the month of love. Love for the games in the bowl? Or flat out disgust? We'll get there when we get there. Now it's time to see how much love was heaped on last week's Mega Man X? Did the next generation Blue Bomber have the chops to join the elite at the top of the list? Let us observe....
Boy, howdy, that was a lot of editing. Sadly, Mega Man X does it's damndest and claws and scratches at the door but falls short in joining the upper crust of the list. Still, number 12 with a 4.36 average is nothing to shake a stick at. It's worth popping in any day of the week, I say. But what shall be said about this week's game? Let's go to the bowl for the last game of January.... We're not quite done with Capcom just yet for this week, boys and girls. Rate the Game: Week 94 asks us to take a look at the beginning of another well-known Capcom fighting franchise, the insane, over-the-top, crossover extravaganza, Marvel vs. Capcom! It's Street Fighting and Mega Bustering and Web Slinging at its finest! Or is it? What do you all say? Let's do that rating thing and close out January strong. Until next week! ![]() No matter what may happen to me, just remember Lzzy Hale gave me the bedroom eyes... ![]() ...again. |

I played the shit out of the third one. Felicia and X-23 rocked my friends' socks off.

Maybe I played this once or twice as an arcade game, but also maybe it was actually just X-Men vs Street Fighter..... now that I think of it I think it was most definitely X-Men vs Street Fighter..... maybe a Marvel vs Street Fighter too if there was one? Def remember Shuma Gorath being in it.... Don't remember any non-Street Fighter Capcom people though....

That period in the late-nineties had a lot of these 'vs.' and Marvel fighting games so it's not out of the realm of possibility to be confused with the overlap.

For the curious or confused, this is the roster for the game in question. If I remember correctly, they didn't have permission to use Iron Man so that's why War Machine is here. You could also get U.S. Agent and Mecha-Zangief if I'm not mistaken.

Never played the first one. Series didn't really catch on until MVC2 and it was never my cup of tea anyways tbh.

Played the shit out of this in the arcade. Sequel obviously had more characters, but I consider this one equally as good, as I prefer the 2v2 format, and it had all the cool striker assists. Onslaught was a much cooler final boss as well. |

Oof, Fig, you're in the same position I was from a while back. Being the lone wolf can be, well, lonely. It looks like we might have to chuck this one, too, and try again.
