My moniter got fucked up

I don't even know what the hell

It might be my video card or something, I don't know. I was just no my computer doing my usual nightly thing, and the screen went all dark and weird, and you can see a bunch of strange darker horizontal lines. The picture can still be made out in them, but it's obviously not how it should be.

WTF happened? Did my video card go kapoot? Or my moniter? For the record, I'm using...

Windows 98 SE
nVIDIA Geforce 2 MX (32 MB)
Viewsonic A90 19" moniter

(any other specs needed just tell me)

I don't know what to do about it.. I tried turning off the PC and unplugging/replugging the cords, to no avail. I'm gonna try and redownload my video card drivers, see if that fixes things. Any other ideas???
