Naughty by Nature?
So I was perusing through some of the "Rate the Wrestler" threads, and I noticed that many people thought that politicking was a large factor in determining a wrestler's overall greatness. So I got to thinking...
Do you think that a wrestler known for shit>ty politics backstage (i.e., Triple H, Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, etc.) is just born that way? Or do you think it's just more of the ego that comes with the position of popularity? I know that sounds a little awkward, so I'll try and offer an example of what I'm talking about. Chris Jericho, for instance, has never been known for being bad backstage. But let's say that he somehow got as over as Hogan and became the company's top draw. Do you think that he'd still be the easy-to-work-with guy that he has been known to be his whole career? Or do you think that he may turn into the egomaniacal jerkass that some people think Hogan was? I realize it's all completely subjective, but it was just a thought I had. |
