Norton AntiVirus problem

ok, as if having stupid ass fans that won't start/sound like a lawnmower wasn't enough, now Norton AntiVirus has decided to piss me off.

I've had it installed for a few months, and over the last week, the liveupdate has popped up like usual, but when I go through it, it says nothing needs updating. It does this once every 24 hours, and it's pretty annoying.

I have noticed on the window which says what Norton components are installed, that only LiveUpdate is on there, I am almost 100% sure that this is where the problem lies, since I would imagine that all the components should be on that, so it can check them to see if they need updating.

I took a screenshot of it, so you can see what I mean.



Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? I've uninstalled and re-installed it (rebooting about 4 times inbetween) and still it does the same thing. I dunno if the fact that it is the 2002 version matters much, i've tried downloading 2004 but it wouldn't run the LiveUpdate on it when I installed it, so I had to go back to this.

Someone help please.
