Watching Byte This with ECW and noticed something
I was watching Raven's shoot a while back and he mentioned that Dreamer has becomed cynical as hell. Well, as I watched Byte this (and I've noticed it in quite a few interviews with him) that he seriously does seemed cynical and depressed a bit. Anyone know if there is any truth to it, or the causes? He just seems disillusioned to wrestling, and I was curious if there was a reason.

Okay I'll be more specific. Guys who were icons of ECW were treated like crap. Taz, Dreamer, RVD and Raven are all guys who gained mainstream popularity in ECW. Austin and Eddie did great stuff while they were there, but your average fan doesn't even realize they were even in the promotion. With the exception of the dudleys, everyone has been completly missused.

Taz was shitted on before he quit wrestling; I'll grant you that. BUT he chose to become an announcer and now he's set for life. He gets payed a great salary, to sit at a booth and talk. Mad job security. Plus he doesn't have to risk his body on a nightly basis.

Van Dam isn't all that great, especially out of the hardcore environment. Only since coming to WWE is he slowly learning psycology. They dropped the ball early on, I'll give you that but he's where he should be right now. Solid midcarder.

Dreamer was never that great of a wrestler. Sure, he had good psycology, but as a talent he wasn't great. Plus his body is completely racked with injuries.

Raven was fucked. Yeah I'll give you Raven all day, his problem was he burned bridges his first time in WWE.

Don't get me wrong, I'm probably the biggest mutant on the board, but I'm not going to sugar coat things. They were huge in ECW, I'm huge fans of all four of them, but not all of them deserve the same sucess they had in ECW while in WWE.

I'll agree with you there to some degree. RVD is overrated, but the casual fans love him without question, so they should be doing a little more. As for Dreamer, no he isn't the greatest wrestler outside of a hardcore enviornment, but he still deserved better than being put in a lower tier role. Raven is probably one of the biggest stars who was never a star in wwe history. The guy is brilliant. I don't need to say anything about taz that hasn't been said before.

I never really saw the honky tonk man wrestler so i can't say him.

RVD held the tv title for 23 months and IC title for a long time too. A lot of those matches were pretty good.

Something else about RVD. I just saw the invasion match with Jeff Hardy really good match. It's funny to watch because RVD doesn't do any of those moves anymore, and he looks a lot better then, then he does now.

Dreamer said it best, Josh Matthews has more wins in 3 years than he did.

Dreamer loves wrestling and was ECW. It's pretty easy to see part of him died when ECW folded.
