Starrcade 97 hogan vs sting
Anyone wanna explain to me exactly wtf was going on at the end of that match? In the uk we never got the ppv's, just watched the match, so hogan gets the boot and the legdrop, gets the clean 3. Bret hart stops the bell being rung, then hogan taps to the scorpion deathlock, and sting gets the title?



Huh?

Was it like a cheap wcw stab at the montreal screwjob or something, thats kinda the vibe i got from it.

Basically yeah a cheap stab at Vince and the screwjob.

Really shallow IMO

They built up Hogan/Sting for over a year and then ruined it. It should hve been a clean pin

No I made a thread about this a while ago.

It was supposed to be a fast 3 count but Nick Patrick ruined it and made Sting look weak. That was Bret's reasoning for restarting the match.
