The Other Predictions Thread Episode 2: The Royal Rumble

Sorry about this getting in so late, but with the server messing up so much, it's hard to get in here to post this topic. Unfortunately, that doesn't give us much time to make predictions, and those of you who do get to this point may get booted before you can make any predictions. But anyway, here's the rules:

1: Anyone can join in, including tipsters.
2: Our scoring for this month will be as follows: 10 points for every correct winner of the beginning four matches. 5 points will be given for guessing how the finish goes for each of the first 4 matches. I'll only base this on "Clean (pin, etc)", "Cheating (including interferance)", "DQ", or "Submission" If you want to get more technical than that go ahead, but I won't award any more than 5 points for a correct response. The Royal Rumble match itself will be tough to call, so I'm awarding 25 points for the winner.

As a bonus, pick a number between 1 and 30. If you pick the correct number of the winner, you will get some "extra credit" of 10 points.

Hopefully Corndad will be able to come back to defend his title, but the server may not be so kind.

Here's the card:

Adam "You screwed me worse than Bret!" Copeland vs. Shawn "Get over it!" Michaels in a "Quarter so you can call somebody who gives a damn on a pole" match.

Old Turd vs. Green Turd in a "Don't eat where you shit, flush it down the casket first" match

John "I haven't had a clean victory in over a year!" Layfield vs. Paul "I'm lucky I can get my fat ass to the ring!" Wight vs. Kurt "Don't expect me to carry you two through the match, I've got three fused disks!" Angle in a Fatal Four Way (including the midget Bigshow ate before the match) for the WWE Championship

Paul "Don't forget, I'm still banging the boss' daughter!" Levesque vs. Randy "Hey, my naked picture can still draw $1.35 on E-bay!" Orton in a "But if I lose the title now after getting it back just three weeks ago, it'll lose value!" match for the World Heavyweight Championship.

The Loyal Fumble with the Sharks vs. the Jets. Featuring 29 WWE superstars and Johnathan Coachman as the Beaver.

Batista, Booker T, Charlie Haas, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Christian, Dan Puder, Eddie Guerrero, Edge, Gene Snitsky, Hardcore Holly, Jonathan Coachman, John Cena, Kane, Kenzo Suzuki, Luther Reigns, Mark Jindrak, Muhammad Hassan, Orlando Jordan, Paul London, Rene Dupree, Rey Mysterio, Ric Flair, Scotty 2 Hotty, Shawn Michaels, Shelton Benjamin, Simon Dean, The Hurricane, Viscera

Edge via a quick cheat at the end.

Taker. Clean victory.

Show: Taking a risk here, but the odds are against him, so it makes for a better story if he beats the odds and wins the championship.

HHH via cheating (Interferance from Stacy Keibler)

Batista.

For the bonus, I choose number 23.

Hopefully I pull off a 2nd victory in a row here...

Going with Edge by Cheating here to set up even more tension where micheals get revenge and elimates him in RR later in night

Undertaker with a clean win throwing Heidy into casket

As much as Id like to pick Kurt, JBL victory when the Cabinet Interfers, Big Show not involved in decision which leads to him getting Shot at No Way Out

Another Champion i dont want to defend that will. HHH by Flair interference and pin

Im saying the final 4 will be Shelton, Batista, Cena, and Beniot.

A few off topic predicts

Edge will be elimated by Micheals
Snitsky will be elimated by Kane but will come back at end hit him with a chair and cause him to be elimated
the first 2 in will be Eddie and Rey Mysterio
Hass and Benjamin will help each other till one elimates the other
the suprise 30th entrant will be *shudder* Brock Lesnar

and the winner of this year's Rumble....

Batista

I will take number 26

Hopefully I do as well as i did at NYR

Astley316 does not have that much rep yet (10+)

Edge wins, by a cheap victory, either help from the outside, or a roll of the tights

Undertaker destroys hendireich throwing him in the casket and ending this feud

Dont see JBl losing right now, cabinet helps jbl win

HHH wins, possible heel turn by stacy, or stacy costs randy the match by accident and randy turns heel by rko stacy

I say Batista wins,

i pick number 13

Low Turnout this time... I blame the server messing up, rather than uninterest. Hopefully we'll have a bigger turnout for the next PPV. Anyway, Here's the results for those of us who didn't get to watch the PPV last night:

Edge vs. HBK: Edge won via using the ropes for leverage during the pin (cheating)
Taker vs. Heidenreich: Taker won cleanly after a DDT, Chokeslam, and Piledriver.

WWE Championship Triple Threat: JBL won after some interferance from his cabinet. (cheating)

HHH vs. Orton: HHH won after a clean (sort of) pin.

Royal Rumble: Batista won a restarted Rumble. He entered at 28. (That may be the closest entrant to number 30 to ever win I think)

As for the winners, we've got Co-champions this time. Corndad and Astley both got 70 points. You two can argue amongst yourselves about who was closer to the victory (sorry. With so few matches on the card a tie was bound to happen..) but in my eyes, you're both champions. Reps to both of you, and don't forget about the next PPV: No Way Out.
