(The screenshots don't do justice as to what you can do in game, drive-bys, fly sea-sparrows with miniguns on them, there are clans, basically a whole community.)

There is also another team that hosts a Multi Theft Auto online mod, but the sa-mp one is newer and better. Both teams are in competition and they are both focused on releasing an incredible newer VC multiplayer and eventually San Andreas.

To play online is free, all you need is a PC version of the game. Which can be free as wel.... i'll stop there.
