Meat loaf has been making music for over 25 years

yet only has 7 or 8 good songs. How come rappers only stay around for 5 years?

What are some meat loaf songs you like?

Bat outta hell
I would do anything for love
Rearview mirror
Back into hell
Paradise by the dashboard light
All revved up
Took the words right outta my mouth.

Rappers only last 5 years because they're pop music and because they get shot at.

Nobody ever claimed Meat Loaf was popular.

Rappers stay around for longer than 5 years. They just have the shelf life of a carton of milk

True, Getner. Also, it depends on whether you are some flash in the pan with one song (Archie Eversole, Khia, etc) or someone with staying power (4 or more albums).

I'm a meat fan myself, and I know he had alot more hits than that, although they're not as well known today as they were some years ago, mainly because they weren't on the Bat Out Of Hell albums. All the ones I know of In chronological order:

Dead Ringer For Love (Dead Ringer)
Read 'Em And Weep (Dead Ringer)
I'm Gonna Love Her For The Both Of Us (Dead Ringer)
More Than You Deserve (Dead Ringer)
Midnight At The Lost And Found (Midnight At The Lost And Found)
Razor's Edge (Midnight At The Lost And Found)
If You Really Want To (Midnight At The Lost And Found)
Modern Girl (Bad Attitude)
Getting Away With Murder (Blind Before I Stop)
Rock N' Roll Mercenaries (Blind Before I Stop)
Blind Before I Stop (Title Track)
I'd Lie For You (Welcome To The Neighborhood)
Not A Dry Eye In The House (Welcome To The Neighborhood)
Nothing Is Sacred (Very Best Of)
A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste (Very Best Of)
Did I Say That (Couldn't Have Said It Better)
Couldn't Haver Said It Better (Title Track)

Couldn't Have Said It Better is his latest one. And "Title Track" only means that the album it came from was that very same title.

He doesn't get the respect he deserves. He only got a Grammy for I'd Do Anything For Love, which he could've gotten a HELL of a lot more. And the critics seem to only like him when Jim Steinman is writing and producing the albums. When it's anyone else helping Meat, the critics seem to jump on a "thrash it" bandwagon.
