Successful comebacks

* Shawn Michaels - I thought he as just coming back for a few matches. Who knew it was permanent. And who knew he'd still be amazing? Some of the best matches in the past 3 years have been HBK matches.

* Bob Baclund - I was too young to know about his original run. I remember believing he was nuts. Sure, fighting Bret Hart helped him look even that much better. (Correct me on this one if I'm wrong. I remember his comeback was pretty good)

* Animal - Seemed like he was back for a few matches to honor Hawk. I watched him in the ring, teaming with Heidenreich, waiting for him to suck, but he was good. Heidenreich didn't have to carry him, MNM and the jobbers didn't have to carry him. He still pulls off one mean ass powerslam.

* Mick Foley - Alll he wanted to do was have one more good match and put over a younger guy. It took one okay match at WMXX to set up his match at Backlash. His match against Rnady Orton was one of the greatest matches that I've ever seen. Everyone has high hopes for the few matches he'll be doing here and there.

Ric Flair - When he came back to be Co-Owner of WWF with Vince McMahon and had his match at Royal Rumble, I thought he had maybe 2 or 3 big matches left...to see him retain his spot as one of the best in the business years after people thoughts he was done has been one of wrestling greatest gifts for me.

I disagree with Animal. Not that he did atrocious work or anything, but the vision of L.O.D. that I had in my head was that of two big bad asses that busted heads like the rest of them. His body type was just fine back in the day, but now he looks ridiculous compared to some of the guys today. It's just not as believeable as it used to be, plus I really hate seeing L.O.D. sans Hawk.

Perhaps in light of the recent news, I'm surprised no-one has mentioned Eddie. Dropped from the WWF, he overcome his drug addiction, came back and won the WWE championship.

In the land of the giants, the man who was once known as one of those 'vanilla midgets' actually bested Lesnar and won the title. I guess it was admirable enough to beat your drug addictions and come back to your old job better than ever, but to come back and be the best guy in the company was ten steps greater.
