JR (Spoilers from Raw, 06/13/06)

Okay, just to start off, I know there will be a lot of threads on the core issue here for which this is a spoiler. Every retard and their mother will make a thread on DX, but this is more a minor thing with JR's announcing of their return.

I know this is a relatively minor quibble, all things considered, but shouldn't he have waited like another minute to really announce the return of DX? I rewound my tape a bit, and I don't think it was worth definitively announcing DX at that point. Even after the crotch chops and mooning of Vinnie Mac, it wasn't necessarily definitive. And yet, JR was having an Austingasm over this when thus far, HBK had come out to take out an enemy he and Triple H had in common.

I don't know. It just seems like it'd be more intense had he not been calling it then. Especially since Mötörhëäd was the song used and everything. He and Vince were too "in the know" on this. It kind of ruins the disbelief that we're supposed to suspend in order to be "surprised" by wrestling.

“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”
