Where's that pirate guy?
Ok, maybe I blinked and missed it, but where the hell is everyone's favourite wrestler Burchill?

I'm a huge mark for the guy and I was unsure about his change of direction gimmick-wise, but found reassurance in the possibility they'd be pushing him and his pirate gimmick to compliment the Pirates of the Carribean film.

So, four months later, we have the film but no Burchill. What's going on?

Burchill's out on injury, which was explained by Mark Henry taking him out. He'll be back, sans pirate gimmick. A shame.

I believe it was knee problems. It was being reported around here, and that he'd be coming back without the gimmick (According to him on some interview).

He was around circa 1999, I believe. Before the brand split. Pretty sure it was Joe E. Legend. Anyway, his gimmick was he was just go around backstage and start rumors. Something lke "the Undertaker said you were a pussy" and they guy'd be like "Oh, REALLY? I'll show him!" and start a fight with the Undertaker or something. Every time they'd ask who the hell he was, he'd say "I'm just Joe".

It annoys me, though, that Benoit gets 'taken out' by Henry to cover for him basically going on vacation, and Burchill gets 'taken out' by Henry to recoup from a severe knee twist...but all we hear is "Henry destroyed Benoit! Henry destroyed Benoit!!!"

Burchill's a rookie, and despite getting a great reaction (Which, of course, is bad, because he's only been in WWE for a few months, and thus is obviously green), he's going to be treated as one.
