Right, well I'm getting a 360 in the mail today and it comes with Live Silver. Basicly what I want to know is what can Silver do exactly? My main concern is downloading demos, or is that just Gold?

Everyone gets access to the Xbox Live Marketplace, but Gold members get a little bit more. Gold subscribers often will get the chance to download hot new game content before the Silver members, but that content will almost always be available to Silver members after a period of time.

There's also a thing called the Diamond Card. Don't really know the exact details about there. And there is the points system. It's like money to buy things through the marketplace such as game extras and full arcade games. You could either use your credit card, or buy them at places like EB games, Gamestop, etc.
