Where I think WWE might be headed with the overly bad D2D show...
I personally believe the D2D show was booked in a purposely awful fashion to insult the entire ECW image and it showed all over the card. Not a single match resembled something that would have been on an ECW PPV, perhaps the opener...

I think they are trying to make a huge storyline out of this...

Distraught by the results of December to Dismember, ECW Representative Paul Heyman appeared to be distant and depressed this afternoon at the North Charleston Coliseum hours before an ECW live event.

This condition was further exasperated by Mr. McMahon, who decided to send Heyman home. The WWE Chairman cited slumping television ratings and a disgruntled talent roster as causes for Mr. Heyman’s dismissal.

With a specific mention being made to a disappointment in television ratings and a digruntled talent roster, it becomes clear they may be on to something...

I think they will have a huge storyline where Vince fires Heyman from ECW, blaming him for the horrible product on PPV...

They can even poke fun at how bad it was... It might be better to address the issue for the slightest hope of anyone ever ordering an ECW PPV again unless a card like the original ONS could be re-created and distributed prior to the show...

This might be Vince's way of trying to create a storyline by feeding to all the emotions of die-hard ECW fans... It's not like Vince doesn't know they exist...

Suddenly Heyman returns and tells everyone how Vince put him into this situation and made him sell out... Play it out with something...

Heyman takes ECW back to the extreme... To make it even funnier, you can have him grab the mic and say: Rene Dupree, Matt Striker, Kevin Thorn, Mike Knox, Daivari, you guys have all been traded and fired from ECW... This can bring out Benoit, Mysterio, Super Crazy, Da Baldies, and perhaps some other ECW originals and try to re-create what they have done...

I am not saying I am against including WWE guys in ECW... I actually would like to see Big Show, Lashley and Test pushed as the top heels...

ECW can work if they had a roster of faces that was workable (Sandman, RVD, Mysterio, Benoit) and then a workable roster of heels (Big Show, Lashley, Test, CM Punk)...

Instead they are throwing everything we don't want at us... I'm all for guys like Eljah and Terkay, but Matt Striker and Rene Dupree, give me a break?

Even Hardcore Holly is a decent addition, but replacing him with Sabu in the EC was clearly done to piss people off and they didn't even try to hide it well... They tried to make the show frustrating and difficult to watch, with all the highest hopes, followed by gigantic disappointments...

Why not send Moore to the CW division?

Anyways, I am only suggesting that WWE is trying to address the situation on purpose and create a storyline... I personally believe the show was booked as a joke on purpose and was a clear mess... Perhaps it was all a setup to something interesting...

It's clear McMahon runs the ECW show, so this blaming Heyman for low ratings could be a hint to something more compelling...

Heyman could come up with something elaborate about why he was forced into spitting on the ECW legacy and insulting/betraying the ECW fans...

Something along those lines would be more interesting...

Wouldn't people be more inclined to watch a show in which Heyman actually runs it, people actually love him, he can express his true emotions (which is what ECW was all about), and they can focus on the feuds between the superstars...

The talent could be acquired; however, the talent they have currently chosen to push (Daivari, Matt Striker, Kevin Thorn) is pretty horendous...

I am by no means saying either of the three men are bad workers, although I would lay Thorn off altogether, it's just that guys like Daivari and Striker could be solid cruiserweight competitors or something on SD! rather than being shoved down the throats of people who want to see ECW re-lived, the real ECW...

The ECW where it was all left in the ring, all the truth was addressed by the commentators, and the product wasn't a complete and total insult to the intelligence of all knowledgeable long-term fans...

Either way, the WWE could be heading somewhere, they could not, but time will tell...

If they were going anywhere with it, they've lost my interest completely.You don't get people interested in the show by putting on shit ppv's. This was a big chance they had, and they blew it. Stop making excuses and just face it. Watching that ppv was like a nightmare coming true.

Just watched it earlyer today...or I atleast tried to watch it...I couldn't bring my self to watch all of those crappy looser matches they put on after the well decent match between the Hardys and MNM...and man I wishe I didn't watch the chamber match...It allmost made me cry so bad was it...
The way I see it is that ECW will be gone before the winter is over...and thats been the plan all along...I meen who in their rigth minds would crap all over a show they actually wanted to suceed? And I don't think that even vince is retarted enough to make a storyline where the show is supose to suck...
I meen I actually heard a guy chant for TNA during D2D...I meen seriosly...a guy chanted TNA! Thats how bad the PPV was!!!

For real, though, Heyman's already been shown the door. This isn't a work by any means. Why the hell would you intentionally put on a bad show that would legitimately anger fans all for the sake of an angle? Hell, even if you did it unintentionally why would you willingly admit it sucks on TV? There aren't people THAT stupid working for the WWE.
