If his health holds up, Chris Webber will help the Detroit Pistons out of the East

Let me explain why and then you can give me counterpoints.

Look at the starting five with him in the lineup.

PG Chauncey Billups- Easily one of the best point guards in the game. It's not about how he puts up points, dishes out assists, and has the ability to hit the big shot at anytime. But it's his ability to not turn over the ball is what makes him unique.

SG Rip Hamilton- One of the hardest working players in the game. Seems to never stop on that court and that's how he makes his points. Could be one of the ultimate "hustle" players in the league.

SF Tayshaun Prince- One of the best SF's in the game. Can block shots, can score, and can fast break like no other.

PF- Rasheed Wallace- When Wallace came to Detroit, it was wondered if he could function with the Pistons. Now he has done all that. Can shoot the 3 which forces defenders to come out and defend him.

Which leads me to Chris Webber. Webber will play the center position, which will come in handy when Detroit plays teams like Cleveland and Miami (let's be honest, we all know Miami will find a way to squeak into the playoffs if they don't go on a run). And I'll be honest, I want to meet Miami in the playoffs. I want the Pistons to go through Miami.

Ok Dwayne Wade, he's good, I'll give him that. But I've never seen someone get this many calls and this many FT's like Wade does. Not even Jordan did. I'm making one comparison between the two, and that's FT's.

Here's why Webber will make the Pistons so much better. When the Pistons had Ben Wallace, Wallace was not a offensive minded player. Neither is Nazr Mohammed. They sit in the post and wait for the ball. With Webber, the Pistons will be able to pull him out past 8-14 feet, and that will draw players like Wallace of the Bulls, Shaq from the Heat and Ilguaskas from Cleveland and any other big center you can think of in the East. They will have to come out and guard Webber.

Which opens up the lane, for players like Billups and Hamilton and Prince can drive to the lane. This Webber thing has made the Pistons so much better, in so little time. They also have the Bench of Antonio McDyess, Dale Davis, Jason Maxiell, Flip Murray, Carlos Delfino, and soon to be Marko Jaric (he is rumored to be in a trade with the Pistons for Nazr Mohammed.

A lot depends on Webber's health, but if he stays healthy (like he has looked all season) the Pistons will come out of the East.

Go ahead, argue against me. For the record, I'm talking about coming out of the East, not winning the title yet. So don't bring up Duncan or Nowitski.
