The Champ
Oh it's true! After watching the No Way Out main event I suddenly realised that John Cena has improved a lot and he is that damn good to headline big time pay per veiws. Even I was a part of the 2005-06 John Cena Fan Backlash Era. It has some how become quite easy to bare John Cena on Monday Nights. One may argue that he had awful storylines throughout his first reign as the Champ. More importantly he perfomed awful moves like the shoulder blocks, Clothesline, Fishermen Suplex, Knuckle-Shuffle, the F-U, Blue Thunder and many others. That was never pointed out during the era of Hogan's dominance. All he did was a back rake and a lame Leg Drop. Cena was chanted same old shit by the fans at the second ECW ONS when he was attempting to hit Rvd with the knuckle-shuffle. No one complained to the following wrestlers when they attempted their regular moves for which they are famous. For example...
1. HBK: Atomic Drop, Flying Elbow, Popping up and going bananas prior to applying the super kick on his opponent. 2. HHH: J.R named double legged spinebuster, Flying Knee and the taunting roar to the fans like look at me, me strong and big, still standing tall with a tricep injury. 3. The Rock: The samaon drop, Spinebuster, Awfull clothesline and the People's Elbow. It is a never Ending list. On personal note I believe his most awesome match occured at No Mercy 2003 against Angle. One's wrong notions about Cena as a poor wrestler can be cleared upto a certain extent. Anyway that's all I want to convey. Discuss. ![]() Last edited by anandraval; 03-17-2007 at 07:16 AM. |

Tbh, I don't mind him as much as I used to. In fact, I never really thought he was undeserving to win the title, or unentertaining as a performer and main eventer.
The problem is with his push, the time he holds the title, the lack of change in champions and him going over everyone. It's not his fault, so I don't blame him. I found him to be mediocre, or "suck" because of this. But I now realize that it's not him I have a problem with. |

I still have a problem with him
:foc: But seriously, I can understand what you are saying. He doesn't book himself to be the way he is. |

All the current Heavyweight Champions have a plus point. Cena has developed
a persona that is loved by all females and kids. Batista has the physique. Lashley does it all. He is a really awesome athlete but all he needs to do is a personality development course. Currently none of them are capable of standing in the league of HHH, HBK, The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. |

Cena has in fact been OK in some promos with HBK recently, and hasn't made me want to see him get squashed by Funaki, but I still do not think he should be in the position he is.
The WWE is pushing him WAY too hard. They need to have him turn heel at WrestleMania, that would be awesome. |

HBK needs to go over Cena. Cena is 2 pegs above Orton, IMO. (and just for the record, I CAN NOT STAND RANDY ORTON. I almost loathe Orton as much as I loathe Hogan...which is saying something.)

I figured you'd take the easy route and say "Anan" could be an elder form of "Anal." I dunno, "Anal Drivel" just has a nice ring to it. Say it a few times. It has a definite kick.

Vermaat is not smart enough to come up with an alt account.
Similarly, the account has been around more than two weeks without getting banned. Not CC. |

Vermaat actually wasn't completely stupid. I kind of miss the guy. He had some pretty well formulated opinions, which were fun to debate. It was kind of the most intelligent mark in the world arguing their side of the story. Most Cena fans would just call us "haters" and complain about how we don't understand how hard life is for them.
Of course, his shit about guys being allowed to do anything, and the cruiserweights not wrestling like they could because they're LAZY unlike Rey Mysterio who is NEW and INNOVATIVE, were kind of pathetic. I think he just kind of got backed into a wall and didn't want to admit he was wrong, though. |

Vermaat's arguement for WrestleMania 23 this year...
Shawn Michaels should NOT beat John Cena for the WWE Championship. Shawn Michaels is currently a part of a tag team with Triple H, and John Cena is the guy who is carrying the company. The WWE has a huge opportunity to make John Cena bigger than ever before by putting him over both DX members at back-to-back WrestleManias. John Cena is still YOUNG and what I like to call "new old-school" in his style. Shawn Michaels is OLD and been Champion before. He has gotten lazy from his early years as a Rocker, back when he was proving himself to be Championship material.
It is MAKE or BREAK for the WWE with Batista. If they have him lose to The Undertaker, they will be making a mistake. The WWE will begin to go downhill. Batista should win because he is NEW. Compared to The Undertaker his career is young and fresh. It is time for a monster to surface in the WWE. |

I cna't stand Cena.
Granted, it is partially the tall poppy syndrome, but I am have no interest in his character, and I get frustrated at how long he holds the title. Raw is just bland with him, and I find it more entertaining to follow the IC title now (which says alot for Raw). As for Batista, i have nothing against him. I think he's pretty good, but I'd love him to be a heel who'd just destroy opponents, instead of a face who has massive respect for other wrestlers. As for Lashley, meh. I think he'd b great in a good, long feud with Kennedy. I really liked him in his feud with Finlay, but I just don't think he's right for carrying an entire brand. The only way he can effectively be the main man for a brand is if he has a manager and is heel. A feud of him (as a heel) against CM Punk would word I think |

Alienoid only misses Vermaat because he's the only other guy who floods TPWW with lengthy posts full of terrible ideas.
Basically, he just misses the heat being taken off him. |
