As of late, people are burying Mick Foley by saying he no longer has a connection with the crowd. Some people even knock his promos. Foley does have creative control and does have the right to refuse anything that is passed his way, however Vince has to approve the final word. He's not the priority being catered to as he used to be.

Often Triple H approaches Vince and asks why should WWE do anything with Mick Foley, and sometimes ends up agreeing with Triple H. However, RAW writer Brian Gewirtz gets at Vince and says that Foley should be brought back and pushed strong. Eventually his mind will be changed again. It kind of goes back in forth between the two.

At one point, Foley was scheduled to do something big at Backlash, but that's off the cards.

Im guessing that something big would've been something to do with the 3 on 1 match. But i think that's bullshit about lacking connection with the crowd, someone backstage who doesn't like Foley is playing politics here.

From what I can recall in the book, I think the main thing that probably annoyed HHH, was the way Foley was comparing his WM feud with Edge, to the HHH/Cena feud. Foley said that he got beat by the better man, while before WM, HHH said Cena wasn't a very good wrestler. So HHH lost, and Foley was saying how does that make HHH look then?

There was probably more cus Foley said that he was betrayed by HHH, cus of HHH agreeing with Flair's negative comments on Mick.

Basically, without saying H's name, he talks about how when Foley did the program with Orton, a top guy didn't like the promo when Foley returned, busted his own eyebrow and told Orton to spit on him again because "it made him look weak". Then after the Backlash match, that same top guy panned the match. Foley ends the chapter with "Funny, didn't seem like that guy had a problem with the way I did things when it was making him look good." Without blatantly saying it, he basically theorizes whether H ever really wanted Orton to be a top guy.

There are other points in the book when he comes out and openly criticises H such as the Cena thing, but that's the big cutting remark.

This was exactly the point I was going to bring up. I'd love to see how Triple H's connection with the crowd would have been if he didn't have Foley willing to job to him at the first three PPVs of 2000.

I guess that's kind of the point Foley used to piss off Triple H in the first place, though. I love the way Triple H plays off all his success based on his skill. The guy is great, but so is Val Venis. Triple H just got lucky, had guys there to job to him (something he is very rarely willing to do himself), and had the boss' daughter to bang.

Mick Foley is one of the better speakers the WWE has. He can cut a promo with his own personality shining through, and he manages to make them more colourful than Triple H has quite frankly been in his entire character (sans maybe his early DX days).

What an ungrateful ass. Seriously, I know it is cool to like Triple H since he went up against Cena at WrestleMania 22, but I really don't care if I never see the cunt again. He isn't as special as he thinks he is.
