So last night...

I caught SmackDown for maybe like the 2nd time in the last half a year, and I have to say, I was so under impressed I question how WWE has not dropped the Brand all together. Now before I go on, I should state that I feel asleep shortly after the Hardy/Kennedy match began, so I really only saw a couple of backstage segments and the Spanky/half of Deuce&Domino and Regal/Boogeyman match...but holy shit. I have never in all my years of watching NWA, WCW, ECW, WWE and even AAA/CMLL (which I can't even understand them talking) have I been subjected to something to bland and unexciting.

William Regal w/ Something Taylor vs. Boogeyman w/ Midget Boogeyman
A couple of days ago I said I would not mind seeing Regal get a run with the WHC just out of respect for his career, I retract that now. Not even JBL doing commentary could get me remotely into the match. Kane coming out and scaring the Brits off was one of the most "what the fuck ever" moments I can remember ever experiencing.

Spanky vs. one of the Greasers
I have never seen the Greaser guys actually perform before, but after watching one of them I am suddenly sad at the idea that Alienoid's jerk off material is generally 18.6 times more exciting than they are. And Cherry isn't even that hot. A big WTF to the theme of the team, to the style of working, and to them being the guys who ended London/Kendrick's reign.

Hardy vs. Kennedy
I fell asleep shortly after the match began...I tried you guys, I really did. I can't figure out what either of these guys offer.

The rest I was sleeping through thanks to V1.0 and ...........Kennedy!

JBL is one of the best commentary men I've ever heard. But nothing he said could make me give a shit about what was happening in the ring. I would prefer to simply listen to commentary than watch the show. How can any of you stand to watch that on a regular basis???

With that said though, there is no belt in the industry that HBK could win that would add to his career. HBK's career is built around him being HBK, not winning a bunch of titles.
