Smile I just felt like "slashing" out a post on the TV/Movie "Gore"-um... *cue Cryptkeeper*
For X-mas this year, I got 2 seasons of Tales from the Crypt. Been watching it for the last 2 days, and all I can say is GOD, THIS WAS AN AWESOME SERIES! It used to come on broadcast tv at like, 2 in the morning back when I was 12, and I would wake up in the middle of the night to watch it I have so many episodes that I can recall vividly 15 years later, it's not even funny. Some of my faves:

Loved to Death: Not the strongest all around, but this one stuck with me for some reason. Mariel Hemingway was far from likable, but she did look quite yummy topless, i must say.

Four-sided Triangle: Great Children of the Corn style vibe, and Patricia Arquette before Medium or even True Romance was a plus.

Three's a Crowd: There wasn't much gore or violence at all, but this thing had one of the sickest gut-punch endings I've ever seen.

aaaannnndddd...
Split Second: My personal #1 fav episode of the series. Brion James is perfect as the ignorant asshole that he's best at, and Michelle Johnson is just as good as the conniving bitchy wife who really gets what she deserves.

So yeah, discuss the greatness of The Cryptkeeper, or any eps that you remember.

My buddy bought those DVDs a while back and we watched all of them in like a week..

Is "Three's a Crowd" the one where there are a set of siemese twins and the one kills the other ones girl thinking he could get away with it b/c he's attached to the innocent one, but he signs the paper so they can be "detached" (for lack of a better word)??

The ones that I'll alway remember are:

-the one where the slimy music promoter gets the voice of Sam Kinneson in his head and goes crazy

-the "Chop Poker" one

The siemese twin one was great also..

The siamise twin one is My Brother's Keeper. Three's a Crowd was the one where the guy goes on vacation with his wife, but she insists that his best friend come along. The guy gets suspicious, and he's slowly convinced that his wife is having an affair. Finally, he can't take it and kills his friend and strangles his wife. A bunch of people jump out, and it turns out the wife and friend were planning a suprise party for him, because she was pregnant.

Yeah I remember that. He drags her body by the neck into a cabin where all the people jump out. Fucked up shit.

I havnt watched Tales from the crypt in forever.....this guy I work with is a huge fan of the show and he brought me some of those audo tapes that were done. Really brought back the memories.

He also brought some of the seasons for us to watch at lunch. The two we watched were with the guy who had nine lives and then the one with Bobcat and the ventroliquist. That was one pretty freaky episode.
